Enriched classes. When do notifications go out?

Did you receive a registration form with classes listed? Last year we received a letter about the new enriched classes. After the guidance counselors visited the 5th graders and gave them their registration form for 6th grade, which listed the new enriched courses.


This is helpful. My DC is coming from a different (non-SSIMS) elementary, so I guess I need to call SSIMS to ask how she gets registered. I tried once and they didn’t mention counselor visits or registration forms. So this helps me ask the right questions.


Are you attending the 5th grade open house tomorrow? You will find out who is your daughter's counselor and that person should be able to answer your questions.

No, and DC is at 99% on all relevant assessments for math at least and there is no way DC wouldn’t make the cut. I thought they were mailing late last week but maybe they are behind schedule.

Sligo MS admin told me they were mailed out early last week (Monday and Tuesday, in two batches), but we have not received our letter yet.

really depends on the school. also don't get too excited. At our middle school over half the kids are in the enriched classes.
