Board wants Monifa to step down

So ironic how MCPS as a school district pushes mental wellness, anti-bullying, equity, and RJ, while their own administrators practice mental abuse, bullying, cronyism, and an environment of fear.

Starts from the top. She needs to go. IMO, the BOE knew some of this was going on. I'm fairly certain they were apprised of the situation by some of the outgoing employees.

They are all accountable.

Who do people in central office want as interim? More importantly, are they willing to do it at all? Who would want that job?

Great questions. CO folks who lurk on DCUM, weigh in!

Hopefully Robbins fact checks the QO principal and Munsey…
Kimball let a lot slide with that one.
Where is Diane Morris?

We have a school district that is at least $50 million in the red this fiscal year (maybe more, probably) and a superintendent focused on negotiating her separation agreement with the BOE. Many leaders appointed by the superintendent are problematic, per the article.

Who does the board appoint as interim superintendent when the time comes?

Honestly, this is the biggest conundrum we face. Brian Hull, who was named acting sup when Monifa was out on sick leave is not a good option, since he's at the heart of many of the scandals rocking MCPS including:

- Massive safety and security failures
- The Khalid Walker retaliation and meddling
- The budget deficits

And now, Stephanie Sheron has been implicated as being a McKnight acolyte so she's tainted too. I don't know who's up next. The bench is nonexistent.

You need new leadership to build up the bench. McKnight will just continue to hire her buddies.

What if the board brought back Scott Joftus for an interim super appointment? He actually has expertise in this field. (Yes, I know the Kid Museum-haters will not go for this idea.)

She's definitely one of the anonymous sources in the Robbins 360 article that went out today....

And that nonexistent bench is by design, no doubt, because nothing is more important than McKnight's survival.

Look at the other thread New MCPS Superintendent for ideas folks have.

Some? They probably knew/know more than we are led to believe. Who will QUESTION the BOE? County Council?

Deadline to file candidacy for this year's BOE is approaching fast. Need at least a few new members.

Did the principals have their meeting or not? Was MM there?

Yes and yes.

The MoCo360 article came out during the meeting’s scheduled time.

Correct. She's on admin leave. She hasn't been let go yet.
