There is a d) These are people who want to preserve White power at any cost, no country, no law is above race for them. |
Trump still has the criminal charges coming in Georgia too. At least he has something to do in his retirement. Be a criminal defendant. |
I think I understand why everyone is confused about the defense docs v classified docs. Whoever Steve Inskeep had on this morning said Trump has been charged with willful retention of classified documents. That is not the charge. It was willful retention of defense documents, which is another law altogether. He’s a former prosecutor, but maybe he wasn’t a fed prosecutor. |
“If you drop out of the race, Mr.Trump, things will go much better for you” |
“We’ll get him on something, somewhere!” |
“Because he flouted laws and rules at every turn.” |
This isn't a witch hunt. Each of these actions, rape, fomenting insurrection, retaining sensitive government documents and obstructing their return, interfering with the Georgia election, are things that happened, and with each one, Trump was at the center of it. |
“When you’re president they let you do it.” |
Excuses and deliberate point missing. They’ve fought many straw men of their own creation on this thread, all while missing the fundamental point: Donald Trump is a criminal who put our nation at risk, and his party is as bad. They all knew what he was up to in different avenues (if Donald Trump were truly being prosecuted for all the crimes he commit in office, they’d never get done by the time he died) and they still looked the other way. |
Can't find a lawyer for this.
According to the paper, the team is split on whether their defense is to declare this a political witch hunt, or to focus on getting one MAGA juror. |
He can always use the federal public defender's office. |
LAWFARE: Major law firms are requiring lawyers to give up their partnerships if they want to represent the former president fearing backlash from Democrats. Trump is scrambling to find a FL lawyer willing to join his defense team.

Defense documents are core to the charges but this yet again just goes to show that Trump was not just in violation of one law, it was numerous laws. Sorry Trump loyalists, but this is not at all a good look. |
There aren't too many public defenders who can be read in on the classified information, so no, not really. |
Why does WaPo report on the chandelier? No one f'ing cares.
