Whittle

Shame about Maret. I would be so livid if Bisgaard and his Chris Whottle sidekick wife came to grift at my school next. Gross

This makes no sense and is also incredibly sexist

I agree this makes no sense. But! Do you think this is sexist because you think the word is exclusively used for ED? That’s really dumb, to be honest. PP’s post is all sorts of stupid but not sexist in any way I can identify. Stupid v stupid, google it.

Bisgaard is a bad choice for Maret or any school that values morality and honesty and courage of one’s convictions

Which should be all the schools, methinks.
Time to comment (tell-all) or a career change.

I am truly dumbfounded that Maret hired this guy. Was the pool of candidates really so poor that they were willing to risk their reputation? who is the Board Chair over there anyway?

Bisgaard was abruptly let go due to a cash crunch right as year two started. It was Rivera and Whittle who individually called all the families and were " fake transparent" when trying to twist their arms into re-enrolling. "Now I'm going to be completely honest with you. We have a HUGE multi million dollar cash infusion just around the corner. Quite "honestly" I can not give you the exact date but I am extremely confident its on it's way. Now let me tell you what's on the priority list of fabulous items we plan to spend it on for next year"..it was fraudulent inducement.

Helped by none other than Monica Bisgaard, on the payroll, until the very last day of the school

Susan Rice’s husband.

Oh, wow. Definitely want to read this book now. Sluml… sorry, developers and similar on the parent committee, the Bisgaards, Whittle, Maret etc. Count me in for the pre-order

Meanwhile, hope Maret has amassed a sizable legal defense fund. They are saddled with quite a liability come September

Pretty sure some parents were messaged by the parent committee members

Who is going to put up a 6-figure retainer and months of their lives to mount a lawsuit that may or may not be seen the same way by a jury? That takes deep pockets and a lot of spite. Not to mention that Whittle and the school have nothing to recover. Are the others on the parent committee worth suing in the first place?

Whittle and those around him rely on the obstacles that our civil court system throws up barriers to accountability. He can hide behind the upcoming bankruptcy and watch the rest just fade to black.

But at least there will be some vindication once all of the books and investigative journalism pieces start coming out

Many many lawyers would do this on contingency. It’s a high profile case if it goes to trial and likely to settle quickly and nicely. I’d go for it.

Chris Whittle has properties in Manhattan, Palm Beach, Knoxville and probably in Caribbean. If I had given him $50 million meant for the school and it vaporized, with large chunks of it going right to Chris Whittle's pockets, I'd sue just to get my hands on the information, so I could make claims to be repaid from the other assets that are in orbit around Whittle (and his wife)..right, David Yeung ( Pure East) ?

It may not be worth it for parents or teachers to sue, but there are some serious creditors who have an incentive and are moving forward - and the big Whittle Booster Board Members who also took cash from that $50M and didn't disclose Whittle's prior debts to them should be lawyering up bc that was way out of bounds too.

Susan Rice’s husband.

The same guy who claimed Maret families are just normal, middle-class households without notable privilege.
