No. Existing teachers and students were given about six weeks’ notice to find new jobs/ healthcare and new schools. The administrators probably knew for a long time they were closing and barely have their community (those left who still believed the school’s lies) time to react. I hope those students (especially the juniors and seniors) do okay with the last minute change. I’m sure it’s emotionally hard on them. And I hope any teachers with health conditions that make having health insurance critical are able to land well in new jobs. |
Nope. 0 to the very top schools |
| That’s how they ended up in WSS in the first place. Couldn’t cut it at the Big 3 |
Hardly a scandal when most saw it coming a mile away. This is impotent rage in the face of we told you so. |
Maret didn’t have to hire someone from a failed school so it’s not impotent rage considering Maret has a year to set things straight |
No one cares. Move on |
|
I think people care. I would bet $$$ that the parent committee and Bisgaards get sued within the 3 years under consumer protection if not fraud.
I feel for the kids. What must it feel like to throw so much money on a bizarre educational experience with a tiny and odd peer group? Learn hardly anything and have poor socialization |

Maret didn’t have to hire someone from a failed school so it’s not impotent rage considering Maret has a year to set things straight No one cares. Move on Clearly you don't have a child in Maret or Whittle. Why don't *you* move on? Or better yet, stay out of it. |
| It is impotent. Maret doesn’t solicit advice from this board on its hiring practices. Pp is sad and vindictive over her own poor judgment |
|
Thanks Monica’s one friend. I think this board contributed a lot to transparency, especially around the infamous parents’ committee which lead the other parents and teachers by the nose to their own kids’ graduation and was no more thereafter from what I could tell.
You know what would be relevant? When/if they all get sued and Bisgaard finally has to comment (if not your own morals, then the law could be forcing you to speak, ain’t it?) and then he has to leave and big payments ensue from the 4 families, that would not be impotent at all. And guess where y’all heard it first? Here, about 40 pages ago. |
| The timeline is anywhere up to 3-5 years from now. Tick tock witches |
| Considering their website is still soliciting applications I would say this is the only place you are going to find out what is really going on. |
This may surprise you, but not everybody is interested in the Big 3. |
Big 3 are overated |
The above comments are precisely why the Big 3 and the peer group are so attractive (SFS STA NCS): highly selective with a healthy dose of self-selection at application helps ensure a pretty unique atmosphere unrelated to wealth. Whittle is the case in point. The wealthy rogues attracted to it aren’t in the Washington society despite trying and trying. They really did end up where they belonged. So keep self-selecting, it’s helpful |
