For the girls this is strictly Aug-July change, if a player wants to stay and play up that is decided by each individual coach/player, a players who is Aug-Dec wants to play with the age group closer aligned with their school grade will be allowed but again it’s up to each coach and families to decide based on playing time and other factors. No Aug-Dec player will be forced up.

Boys is still BY and nothing changes. However players who are Aug-Dec ca get additional playing time on the MLS2 team that switches to SY. Also a player who is Aug-Dec 2011 will be 2011/12 U15 next year for MLS2 they can bioband down to play in the U14 2012/2013 age groups.

Are club will also allow girls 2011 to bioband down and play 2012/2013 boys to get extra playing time and development opportunities.

A better way to put this is Aug birthdays can choose to try out on the correct grade A team or the A team a grade down. However coaches (and clubs) decide who makes the team. Clubs dont want Aug birthdays playing down on A teams and will offer players that choose to play down the option of playing on the correct grade in school B team or the grade down B team. Parents will choose the correct grade in school B team because playing on a grade down B team would hurt their ego too much and either way their kid doesnt want to be on a team with kids a grade below them.

Your example here basically says that all August players should be stuck on B team no matter what they do. That's not reality.

Whats going is clubs (and college recruiters) only want grade in school teams. It's easier for them and its better for players. Unfortunately some parents want to play against younger players and will do anything to make it happen. Theres ways to address all issues and make everything 100% clea avoiding the Aug Sept playing down issue but it requires an additional level of verification. Clubs make more money if they have "flexibility" and can roster Aug Sept players however they want and its easier to have a single level of verification.
Not true. College coaches told clubs like Eastside that don't care what age group or age a recruit is. Remember, the take transfers and Internationals and have to evaluate them all. Playing on age has best chance of making kids better players as the oldest, youngest tends to quit.

College coaches recruit players by graduating year.

Graduating Year = Grade in school

But keep posting your nonsense you everyone can see that you're crazy.
Then how do you explain redshirts, transfers and foreign players or recruiting under BY? Facts show and what they said to clubs was college coaches don't care about your youth soccer age group. They want the best players eligible to play.

Coaches recruit by graduating year, from graduates who play soccer in multiple places and age groups. Now and then. Suggesting otherwise is to ridiculous.

Redshirt and transfers have already graduated high school.

In BY "trapped" players were playing on a grade up team and therefore interesting to college coaches In SY Aug birthdays that play down a grade are ignored by college coaches

Pretty simple even when you're trying to confuse people by adding in players that have already graduated high school.
Do college coaches decide between transfers, foreigners and HS players? If so, is it impossible if they are different ages and play on teams with players of differing ages?

These players cannot participate in youth soccer leagues. Again, you're trying to confuse people by adding in players that arent eligible to play.
They are eligible to play in college. College coaches have to pick between them all like they all have an equal chance of making the team next year. They pick players not teams they play for.

"Unfortunately some parents want to play against younger players and will do anything to make it happen."

You must have an agenda, right? You realize that to August players could be in two different grades depending on when they were sent to school by their parents? As a matter of fact the younger August player could be in a higher grade than an older August player from the same year. You really do seem like you have an agenda.

I've consistently said Aug birthday players should be rostered on their grade in school team. Where's the agenda? As you identified this Aug birthday players can play on 2 different teams. It all depends on which grade they are in school.

So you're consistently being a moron after being told a million times there are no grade in school leagues
It goes by age, month and year DOB

Just because you want your kid to play down against younger players doesnt mean grade in school doesnt exist. It 100% does exist in teams 8th grade year when play downs that are in 9th grade and do high school soccer. It also exists when college coaches ignore play downs when recruiting.

Since you want to play down so badly just hold your Aug birthday back in school and they'll be aligned iclub. Or put your kid in a private school and play in a non club league.

You don't explain any logic in why college coaches refuse to take any players from HS that are players that are the best option for their teams. Especially when they said they don't care about recruits age groups as told to multiple clubs.

It's because college coaches recruit players by Graduating Year. What this means is no matter what level you play at college coaches are comparing you to other players in your grade (Graduating year).

Think about it. Theres only 3 options for a player to be playing. Up, Correct Grade, and Down. What this means is if you play down you are by default the worst potential recruit out of the entire graduating year pool.
So if misaligned national player is playing on age based on a team's rules but misaligned by grade they are by definition worse than every other player in the age group above them? You seriously wrote that? And expect anyone to believe it?

College coaches take the best players who show interest in their clubs. They evaluate players on so many teams, they know what they are doing to he the best players regardless of the ecosystem they play.

Yes, if your kid cant play on a team thats their grade in school. Theyre not going to be able to play at the college level with players that are often 4+ years older.

Agenda still going strong.

The agenda to help your Sept DD be the oldest.

If you didn't need it, you wouldn't have tried to create your SY+60 nonsense and post non-stop for the last 6 months or so to carve out grade year but not all grade year and then not grade year for showcases. All while trying to present the case (without any proof) like anything said on a regional youth soccer thread is going to influence any league or club decision that would affect about 2 percent of players. It isn't.

Selfish posting to change rules to help yourself and stick it to August kids..

Here is your logic flaw. Because someone is playing in a certain age group doesn't mean they do not have the skill to play in another age group. This is your faulty assumption that trashes your position.

And college coaches don't care about your age group. They need to evaluate players in many scenarios. They know how to do it, it's a huge part of the job.

Typical grade ≠ actual grade. If they were equal, youth school would be grade year, it isn't it is Seasonal Year, sometimes referred to as School Year (dates).

Oh good to hear that you feel grouping level doesnt have any affect on college recruitment.

So playing August birthdays on their grade in school team shouldn't be an issue.

Unless theres some reason you want to play your kid on a grade down team.

We heard your emotional desperate opinions
Now show the link where US Soccer or ECNL announced the forming of brackets grouped as 6th Grade, 8th Grade, 10th Grade?

We see 8/1 to 7/30 and we see U12, U15

Take your time

You mean like this?

Typical grade ≠ actual grade. If they were equal, youth school would be grade year, it isn't it is Seasonal Year, sometimes referred to as School Year (dates).

Ok whatever lets you sleep at night.

For the rest of us its pretty clear they intend to group players by grade.

It already has and your nonstop quest for playing down has allowed others to explain why Aug birthdays need to play on teams that are their grade in school.
August parents better understanding the value of being the oldest from the relative age effect and even Matthew effect (cumulative effect of advantages) because of links to research and seeing quotes where college coaches said they don't care about your age group, they evaluate skills and knowing that playing on age is never playing down and they can talk to their coaches and clubs and make informed decisions for their kid on a case by case basis.

What do you think the August girl on your DD's team will pick? Have you properly poisoned the well there?

Case by case. No reason to play up if not ready.

Some old timers hark back to day when everything was grade. Childhood sports got taken from schools and the private sports made their own rules. Many can't handle it.

You didn't think we'd notice the column heading says, "Typical school grade"?

If it were grouped by school grade, there would be only one column saying "School Grade"

Not U12 and DOB date ranges

You must have been a solid D student lol
