| Please explain the appeal. Would anyone watch if she didn't literally give viewers money? |
| Never liked her so I can’t help you. |
| I don’t watch talk shows but I always loved her standup comedy. |
| Her stand-up isn’t bad if you like that observational seinfeld style. |
| Her houses are gorgeous. That's all I've got. |
| She's joyful and she gets other people to be light hearted in silly. People don't look to her for like late night comedy about current events - more fluff to make them smile. |
| Agree and she is not a nice person either. |
What makes you say that? |
It’s a well known fact in Hollywood circles. |
I realize this sounds ridiculous (friend of a friend of a friend thing!) but my sister knows someone who does interior design, and she did something with one of her houses and said she was simply awful to the people who worked for her in the house. |
Never watched that sh%t, sorry. |
| Again, really? Seems like periodically someone wants to bash Ellen. Give it a rest. If you don't like her, don't watch. |
| I watched her today. She had Ashton Kutcher guest hosting with her. Double dose of cringe. I did not crack a smile once. I seriously can't understand the show. The woman in the audience look like lunatics. |
I was just thinking the same thing. It is like someone has a grudge so every two months or so they write a bash Ellen post. I a, going to go out on a limb and say that most famous people are probably not all that nice. And comedy is definetly a personal preference thing. Ellen has been on TV for like 20 years. She must be doing something right. |
| Ellen is very understated and wry. If you don't like that type of comedy, don't watch. |
