This article just says that sometimes she has a bad day and she doesn't want to dance every day.

| Her sitcoms were funny, but I don't think her talk show is entertaining at all. I especially hated it when she had those Sophia and Grace girls on. Ugh. |
Regardless, she has excellent delivery. I find her sarcasm very funny. I’ve also heard the negative things about her. If she weren’t a liberal and LGBTQXYZ, she’d be raked over the coals in hollywood for her attitude. |
I agree. She's very lighthearted and silly. I love her and think she's a breath of fresh air. |
I think she's great too. And she's 60 years old and looks about 20 years younger. Impressive! |
| Her show reminds me of Chelsea Lately, especially towards the end before Chelsea got cancelled. She was bitch on camera who tried to play it off as haha sarcasm (you could tell she was even worse off camera), she was just mailing it in, it wasn't funny at all, and she acted like she was above even filming the episodes. I assume Ellen has much better ratings than Chelsea's E! show, but both left me wondering why they were on TV. Does Ellen pay those studio guests to act like buffoons begging for $50 bed bath and beyond giftcards? |
Yeah, because she's blatantly mailing it in. Paid I'd guess $20 to 40mm per year to just sort of show up and be an unfunny passive-aggressive bitch. |
| I've always wanted to like her. I love(d) the way she'd start shows with a dance-a-thon with her audience. There seemed to be so much joy. However, I've always felt there is an underlying meanness about her and it makes watching her a bit fraught. |

Embarrassing how she dressed Julia Roberts to look like Kim K. WTH is that? Julia R. looked like an ass, too |
Leave it to the NYT to publish one thousand words saying little
And that's the first installment, I'm sure they plan a special 10-part series to get to the bottom of Ellengate. |
Passive-aggressive bullying. She gets off on tormenting attractive celebs. And it's always painfully unfunny. |
| I heard the TV in the other room say Ellen may retire at the end of her contract which concludes in 1yr. Is that genuine or she's just putting that out there to get a fat extension? |
|
I like some of the skits, but I assume her writers are responsible for that. I still crack up at this.

If a rich person walked out in the street of DC around a group of homeless people and told them to strip to their underclothes and dance like monkeys to get the $100 bills in their hand, they'd be crucified.
But because Ellen is Ellen, it's totally fine for her to have people not as well off as her make fools of themselves to 'win' money or prizes from her. It is literally the SAME thing! Why does no one see this?! I know someone who was a PA on her show and they said they couldn't believe how mean she was. Not outright many times, but in the pranks/scares she does to her staff members and the backhanded compliments she gives. |
| Ellen’s pretty funny, but I’ve never understood why she dresses so masculine! It’s really rather unbecoming. |
