Will Marc Elrich make it through a full term?

I'm not talking about a recall....I have accepted the fact that he is elected County Executive, even if it's because Partisan Democrats in Montgomery County will vote straight ticket D no matter what... I am talking about his health? He looks like he's about to have a coronary. And I've gone to hear him speak and he sounds half asleep. Plus his tendency to lash out and say unnecessary things and then claim its taken out of context. Is Elrich mentally or physically fit to hold office?

I wish him all the best in terms of health but he really just doesn't look good. I hope that if he finds that he is not fit to perform the tasks as County Executive that he will step down.

He will make it through this term and then be reelected? Why? Because he represents those tired of developer give-aways and politicians that don't listen to those who elect them. Don't worry about his health, he's had his gravelly voice for decades, and those who support his progressive policies--the majority of voters--hear him loud and clear.

President Trump has been subject to excessive media speculation on his mental health, his weight, his private life, his appearance, his lifestyle habits and the Dems have been grasping at everything possible to disqualify him and yet they come up with no conclusions other than the fact that they can't accept that Trump won.
If we have to spend taxpayer money on confirming the mental and physical fitness of the democratically elected President who millions more fed up Americans countrywide chose as their President then why do we have to shut up and accept a Leftist chosen by a small minority in Takoma Park and Silver Spring? His being a Socialist should disqualify him enough, and he looks to be less physically and mentally fit than Trump is. I say the County should hold Elrich to the same scrutiny as Elrich supporters would like to see Trump held to.

I live in neither TP or SS (Chevy Chase voter here) and I agree wi PP who says we understand exactly what we voted for in Elrich. I am very much in favor of his progressive policies and clearly understand his **not socialist** yet pro-safety net, anti-developer leanings.

President Trump has recently been implicated in a felony. Which the other party has admitted to. That's all I really need to say there.

Because OP is making a butthurt false equivalency between Elrich and Trump. OP thinks that Trump has been treated unfairly by the media, when it is really Twitler-in-Chief having to sleep in the bed that he made for himself and being rightfully scrutinized for his sexual assault allegations, business deals with Russian oligarchs, and unstable outbreaks of temper tantrums at 5am on Twitter which make him an international embarrassment. OP probably lost his/her way to Hagerstown or the Eastern Shore and is lonely in MoCo where 80% voted against Trump and 65% voted FOR Elrich. The only thing that is even remotely true although irrelevant is that both Elrich and Trump are overweight. Elrich, however, does not mock women for their body type, does not throw Trumpertantrums on Twitter, and listens to others including those who disagree with him in order to help the county. He is literally the opposite of Trump.

PP, I’m sorry Marc Elrich didn’t call you back. Leave his family alone. You’re not going to get him on Me Too issuesand you’re not going to get him for his weight. You’re going to have to get over it just like any other election where your candidate lost. Except I like some, Marc will actually listen to your concerns and cares about your input.
