Biden’s “Big Boy” press conference

If you actually watch the press conference, the man was coherent, recalling facts, expressing nuance and otherwise did a credible job.

I am awaiting Trump giving press conference with the exact same questions and see how that goes.

You’re completely disingenuous and you know it. Biden is in clear mental decline as he has demonstrated repeatedly over an extended period of time. But hey, if you still want to cling to him as your guy and automatically hand the presidency to Trump, have at it.

I get it, Joe is old. There isn't a mythical democrat out there who can beat Trump. Biden can.

81 year old with a 35% approval rating, questionable mental health, and noticeably trailing in swing states but yea, he can win and he is our best hope. You're bloody brilliant!!!

Name the viable replacement.

At this point, Biden is a guaranteed loser so the Dems might as well take a flyer.

Ha ha ha. Let's see Trump answer questions from the press for almost an hour.

Especially where it comes to serious policy questions. Trump would flounder and drown. He doesn't know policy.

He is joined by 95% of Americans that don’t know policy either and don’t care . What people care about is their pockets and that’s what matters. All people remember is that 100 dollars of groceries during Trumps admin didn’t mean just one shopping bag of items but multiple . They remember the lowest interest rates in US history . They remember higher job rates and labor participation rates for the first three years Trump was in office . They remember that when the country shut down due to COVID , Trump gave out 2 stimulus checks to Americans and PPP loan relief . When Biden came , he gave out nothing but found a way to give debit cards and freebies like shelter , free food , and five star hotel Living to lawbreaking border hoppers. He found a way to jumpstart inflation and an energy crisis for the EU by funding a war in Ukraine ran by the comedian turned president who doesn’t get enough money from us to finally get close to beating Putin and had the nerve to get jealous when 10/7 happened in Israel and took away his thunder. Bidens left us on the brink of disaster in the Middle East and reset the new Cold War . Great job Brandon. We were told Donald would bring us to the brink of WW3 or nuclear war with Russia but that’s Biden who has done so. On top of that, his family is making money left and right including his son who is the Ukraine natural gas expert consultant which sounds all kosher right? We are funding Ukraine in war and giving them tons of aid and the presidents son has personal ties and interests there but no biggie right ? He’s not Trumps kids so it doesn’t matter

This is quite the spin. You might want to consider a few unbiased sources of information. When Trump was president, we were all locked in our houses as he completely fumbled the pandemic response and told us to drink bleach. The streets of NYC were lined with refrigerated trucks filled with dead bodies. It was horrific but hey! Groceries and gas were cheap (supply and demand) so let’s bring all that back!

Much of what yoi mentioned was simply riding Obama’s coattails. Remember that the first 9 months of a presidency is the predecessor’s fiscal year.

I could go on and on and on, but clearly, cheap groceries is more important to you than preventing children hospitals in Ukraine from being bombed. So I am not even gonna waste my time trying to convince you otherwise.

How silly. More people have died of COVID under Biden even with the vaccine and as all of us pointed out from day one, Trump never said to drink bleach. Stop posting lies.

Trump was only president for 9 months of the pandemic and left office while it was still in full swing. You need critical thinking skills.

And pardon me. “Drinking bleach” was hyperbole. What he actually suggested was injecting disinfectant to clean out the lungs. Much better!

Because they trust their eyes.

Oh so the elites' eyes are more valuable than 15,000,000 primary voters?

This whole thing feels like a psy-op on steroids.

Democrats apparently don’t believe in primary elections. Remember when they wanted popular vote presidential elections? My, my, how the pendulum of sentiment swings…

FACT: Overall prices are up 20.1% since Biden took office as inflation remains above 3% for the 39th straight month.

Prices did fall last month so that’s also a FACT. Did your media ecosphere not inform you of this?

He is a lifelong stutterer, he spoke to that on C-SPAN all the way back in 1994 and he has been making those kinds of gaffes of saying one thing for another for his entire political career. He corrected himself, indicating he isn't somehow in some delusional state of complete confusion where he was actually referring to "commander in chief" - and anyone who watched for the entire hour, seeing him deliver deep, detailed, nuanced, and extremely lucid answers on difficult policy questions would know that.

That's not how stuttering work. Stop spreading misinformation.

Your medical knowledge is sorely lacking. There are many types of stuttering and that is one of them.

Can you explain how he avoided that 4 years ago? 16 years ago? Wouldn't he have been missing up names all that time if it was due to his stutter?

Because this wasn't an issue 4 years ago, or during his VP, people are right to be concerned about what has caused the change. The vacant stare, the stiff gait, the early bedtime give credence to it being a problem that has evolved.

He has always done this. The difference is that the media decided to sabotage democracy by suddenly making this into a whole thing.

+1. Biden has been known for it for decades, it's not all that new.

Lots of people slip up mentally and swap their words. During the press conference, the NPR reporter Asma Khalid accidentally said "the debate" when she meant "the press conference."

Trump does all the time too, he called Tim Cook "Tim Apple" and introduced Marilyn Hewson, CEO of Lockheed Martin as "Marilyn Lockheed" - he mixed up Nikki Haley and Nancy Pelosi, he said we captured the airports during the Revolutionary War, he called Orban "the leader of Turkey," he mixed up George Bush and Jeb Bush, and lots of other things.

If it's a "definite sign of dementia" to swap words like that, then Trump has dementia in spades. There's no getting around that one if that's the argument you want to make.

The Putin gaffe was cringeworthy.

To me neither of the gaffs are as significant as the one at the NATO press conference. Calling President Zelenskyy , President Putin, is horrible and truly disrespectful.

I guarantee that is meme all over Russia right now. They don’t even have to edit it. Did you see Zelenskyy’s face?

This is worst case scenario for the Democrats. Biden didn't have a total meltdown that would guarantee his removal from the ballot, but his gaffes--President Putin and Vice President Trump--are dominating the coverage.

Now that Biden's fitness for office has been called into question, every gaffe will now receive tons of attention.
