2.95 in parts of DC, MD and DE.

I am assuming there are parts of Virginia that are cheaper.

I paid $2.90 in Arlington last week. Looks like that same station is $2.85 today on Gas Buddy. The Liberty on Washington Blvd is $2.83

The cheapest places in the country to get gas are MS, LA, LA, OK, and TX due to proximity to refining facilities and fuel depots/ports. Those prices are hovering around $2.25 on Gas Buddy right now. Some outlier stations are near the $2 mark.

If prices remain sub-$3 until November in swing states, it's lights out for Trump and Harris should win pretty handily.

Some free advice from your opponent (me)....

You democrats had better get focused on the upcoming longshoreman strike which will close every port from Texas to Maine starting next week.

That alone may lose you the election.

Oof, chief Bloomberg economist says we’re pretty much in a recession

https://www.businessinsider.com/is-a-recession-coming-unemployment-rate-spending-anna-wong-bloomberg-2024-9#:~:text=Bloomberg's%20chief%20economist%20shares%20why,off%20could%20sink%20consumer%20spending&text=Anna%20Wong%20sees%20a%2070,as%20the%20labor%20market%20weakens.

Thanks to Bidenomics states that with high rates of jobs being killed and no no hiring and its fueling a rise in unemployment.

The government may be saying we’re not in a recession but the people who have to look for a new job and pay for the skyrocketing groceries and energy costs are saying we are.

The economy is awful and people can’t afford to live hence the high rates of CC balances. Even Allied Bank who finances auto loans is seeing the highest rates of defaults in history! People can’t afford the gas, the car payments and Kay for groceries.

Real GDP has been understated, revised up:

The savings rate was also understated, consumers are in great shape:

Real per capita disposable personal income excluding transfers is up $3,700 from 2019Q4 (compared to $2,000 previously, both in 2024Q2 dollars) and $3,200 from 2020Q4 (compared to $1,500 before). Further, the increase in incomes boosted the saving rate from 3.3% to 5.2% in 2024Q2.

You've been posting the same posts in this forum forever and nobody listens to you. I lost interest when you complained about crappy chain restaurants unsurprisingly going out of business.

I'm doing better than I was under Trump, 401k is lit right now.

Plus the GOP and its catering to far right, CONSPIRACY THEORY IDIOTS, extreme stance on abortion, roll back of environmental regulation, and more.... No thanks, Trump will never have my vote.

Why can't the republicans focus on the longshoreman strike? Why does everything fall to the democrats?
