Joe's aunt -
Joe's memory was murdered over and over, with every lie that was told about him Telling the truth now doesn't erase the harm that was done Joe is not the monster they claimed him to be |

Juliana is nodding along as in agreement with everything being said
|
| Now they are talking about the recommendation for sentencing, and how it was completed after talking to all of the victim's families |
| Juliana is reading her statement |
|
She got the full ten years.
Judge said she has shown no empathy, and she was more involved than she even admitted to. Even brought up that she had the daughter call her mommy. |
| The judge destroyed her! |
|
I did feel empathy for Juliana in her statement, I cannot pretend that I didn’t. But then when I heard the judge speak and deliver the sentence, I could not argue with that either. I believe the sentencing was just.
I also thought it was unsettling how Juliana appeared to turn to stone when the judge was speaking and did not have any visible emotional reaction to the sentence. It made me wonder, maybe she is a legit psychopath after all, not just a young and stupid and selfish person who made a massive mistake and then felt like she needed to double down to preserve herself in the aftermath. |
| Wow! |
| I’m sort of scared of that judge!!! Damn! What a badass. I would not want to cross her any day of the week |
|
So much respect for the Judge.
BB is going to get it handed to him |
|
Will she even serve 92-98 months?
I dunno about VADOC or VSCC |
|
I feel like that judge and the dude in Billy Madison have a lot in common. “Juliana, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.“
Amazing |
| Does this judge do Brendan’s sentencing too? He must be sh*tting his pants |
Yes. The judge specifically scheduled it before she retires in June. |
Excellent observations and summary. I kind of experienced the same thing but wouldn’t have been able to put it in words nearly as well as you have. |
