What you mean they are having private tryouts? lol

There have been secret tryouts at Howison and Long Park for FCV players.

Some nasty people on here trying to cause trouble. Given the circumstances right now maybe leave this BS out for a little bit

I guess VDA is working overtime to replace your kid. Sorry about that.

Would be nice if the trolling and lies stopped during this time.

Lol, ok. There is a saying “be careful what you wish for”.

DA is dead and lots of kids found spots on teams because of dilution. Now 3 clubs of kids who had hoped to get showcases with their current club may now be looking for new teams. Congrats, your League won but will your kid or a teammate friend hold onto a spot?

ECNL clubs will be working overtime trying to stock up on newly available players.

So, your choice is to cheer for GAL to succeed marginally, ECNL to add the former DA clubs maintaining roster stability or hope your kid is a top 5 player on their current ECNL team.

Which scenario is best?

ohhh. I love sayings. I'll play along

1. "Truth does not belong to the one who shouts the loudest"
2. "Confidence is silent. Insecurities are loud.
3. "More the knowledge, lesser the ego. Lesser the knowledge, more the ego"
4. "Self importance is mans greatest enemy"

But my favorite of all is:

KARMA: "No need for revenge. Just sit back and wait. Those who hurt you eventually screw up themselves and if you are lucky, God will let you watch".

Not really disputing the likely scenarios.

The likely scenarios, huh

1. The GAL league is a failure before it started.
2. If Tophat didnt get ECNL, FCV is not getting ECNL.
3. FCV will fold without ECNL
4. FCV will lose its entire base. Arlington will be in much better shape. They are a county club.
5. FCV has already been accepted into GAL. The reason why they havent announced it.. because they DON'T WANT IT and are still begging ECNL.
6. Dilution..it works both ways. If ECNL folded, ECNL players would be knocking DA players off their roster. To say otherwise is goofy
7. The majority of players at this level are "average elite" players. They are not the "elite of elite". An "average elite" knocking off a "average elite" is harder than you think.
8. Your over inflated ego and self worth has you believing otherwise.
9. A consolidation means some cuts of ECNL rosters, Captain obvious. It also means some DA players will not find a roster spot.

The three previous scenarios fit well within your ramblings.

1. Players are displaced so they seek a new club. In this case, is your DD a top 5 player? Will she hold her spot with up to 60 new kids per age group looking for a spot? I’ve got no ego in this but it is a question that all ECNL players must ask themselves. How many new additions knock your kid from starting to bench? How many new kids knock your kid from bench to the second team?

Understand that new kids will be added and with the potential influx of new players every ECNL coach is looking for impact players and depth where they are lacking. Only you know where your kid ranks on her team.

2. If GAL is marginally successful kids at older age groups are less likely to move. This would mean general roster stability moving forward for all 7 clubs involved.

3. GAL holds some rosters intact while ECNL adds the former DAs over the coming one to two years, again, maintaining stability.

I think what most people really want is for GAL to either be marginally successful or for the former DAs to be added. This allows everyone a “win” of sorts. The only people who would be disappointed by either of those two outcomes are the parents of the top 5 kids who would be fine with your DD being replaced by a better player who will push their DD.

And it’s “you reap what you sow?” Even though this is through out the whole bible it’s a question.

VDA will take anyone and everyone. The players who are bubble players will find themselves playing PWSI or VSA. If your DD has not secured a starting position that’s where your troubles lie.

Why so much hate for VDA are people that jealous that VDA is a new identity like Metro but was smart to go the ECNL route and not DA? VDA has the best coaches in the area but I keep seeing hate about it why? Look at Quan I wish my DD was younger to be in his 07/08 team
