Then your kids need to get to school earlier because you now know you need to add in extra time in the morning for them to get thru the metal detector. This is on you. |
Umm, how are kids on the bus supposed to get there earlier? This squarely on the school, not parents. |
My kid rides the bus and has been late a couple of times because of the lines... |
Actually, no. The buses arrive when they arrive. Both entrances to the schools are locked until 7:40. They can't arrive early. |
Westfield gave my kids tardies last year during the pilot. I had to personally call and argue to get them removed. |
Well Lake Braddock just had to wait for so long they shut down the detectors |
NO GATEHOUSE It's on the schools. Students should not have to be at school an extra hour for your little security show that is not being done correctly. |
This. |
| Chantilly started I think yesterday. DD said half the class was late to class first period. |
That is a LOT of tardies and bathroom passes. What a lenient policy |
The kids with a ton of tardies and bathroom visits are taking pee breaks. They are the kids vaping in the bathroom. You wouldn't give them smoking breaks, so why should they get vaping breaks? |
Those kids are getting vaping restrictions. They are tardy all the time because of their periods. They are tardy all the time because they are vaping. |
Kudos to them for making the right decision. They were all safe yesterday without the metal detectors. If everyone is not in by 7:50 then just send them to class. LBSS chose education. |
This is ...... I can't find a word for this. They did pilot in the spring and implemented this in other school for the first week. But still...... |
Unintended consequences If those kids get full day escorts can they skip the security lines? |
