Democrats are pooping their pants because they know this is terrible for the Biden campaign. If they wanted a smoking gun—this wasn’t it. The right wingers are already posting Trumps pic like his a martyr. This assassination attempt is awful. And so is the fallout from both sides. This thread is proof that the US is broken. The schism is too wide. I’m sure the Putin et al are happy.

I don’t think this will have any effect on the campaigns. Biden voters will vote for Biden. Trump supporters will vote for Trump. The people who hate them both will not vote or write in someone irrelevant.

Nope. A lot of Democrats, who are not completely brain dead, don't like what is happening to the country right now. This might be the last thing that will swing a lot of votes.
