Shame on you. Seriously.

No. I’m not that pp, but Trump has spent years fanning the flames of violence. That’s an established fact. Paul Pelosi was beat nearly to death by a man who was encouraged to violence by right wing rhetoric and Trump was vile. Right wingers on here claimed that it was a gay love affair gone awry.

Violence is what the GOP has been baying for. We have been speaking against it the whole time and getting mocked by right wingers for being soft. We have said that once violence is uncorked, it’s damn hard getting that back in the bottle.

Nothing you have stated is an “established fact” and to say that the evening the man was shot is shameful.

You need me to go dig up the quotes from Trump at his 2016 rallies telling people to get violent, Trump will pay it off? You need me to go find the video of Trump vowing revenge? That’s established fact.

I know everyone is praising the security team. But I see this as a complete security failure.

This location was easily secured, not a complex urban space. The shooter was on a clear white roof with what looks like one of the few (maybe only) sightline.

All of this.

This thread proves the nation is hopelessly divided. Can we even call ourselves the United States anymore?

The former chair of the now-disbanded Jan. 6 committee introduced a bill Friday that would strip Secret Service protection of any former executive convicted of a felony — an effort to avoid the complications of incarcerating former President Trump should he be ordered to serve jail time.

Dubbed the “Denying Infinite Security and Government Resources Allocated toward Convicted and Extremely Dishonorable (DISGRACED) Former Protectees Act,” the legislation from Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.) would nix the lifelong protection given to former presidents if they are convicted and sentenced for a felony that carries a year or more in prison time.

Well, that’s a good look. We know who they are now.

You are aware it is July?? This is from April.

Right, because in April the whole country was singing kumbaya.

Having worked for Congress under the Trump administration, I can tell you it’s been bad for Dems for a long time. Congress has been facing violent MAGA threats for YEARS.

Words. Not credible threats.

What form does a threat come in? Morse Code? Smoke signals?

Shots.

Shots are not a threat. You literally do not know the English definition of threat.
That is the dumbest thing I've ever read on here yet, what you just said.

The best defense against a bad guy with a gun is hundreds of MAGA’s with gun together at a large rally. Brilliant! Thoughts and prayers as well, that should cover it!

Please catch up. The shooter was on a roof outside of the safety perimeter.

BBC interviewed someone claiming he saw the shooter with a gun and was pointing at him for two minutes. Secret Service on the barn roof was looking at the interviewee pointing but he thinks maybe they couldn't see the shooter.

I’ve been at political events and the secret service has sharp shooters positioned around the venue. I wonder if there was some confusion.

CNN

Former President Donald Trump was rushed offstage with blood on his ear and face after a shooting during his Saturday evening rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Trump fell to the ground, seemingly injured, after the first pop of shots rang out. Screams could be heard coming from the onlookers as security personnel surrounded the former president and led him away from the lectern. Trump appeared to be calling out to the crowd and could be seen pumping his fist as he was brought to his feet and whisked away into a vehicle offstage.

The shooting is being investigated as a possible assassination attempt, according to law enforcement officials.

The shooter was killed by the Secret Service, and a rally attendee was also killed, according to a Secret Service source. Butler County District Attorney Richard Goldinger said a second spectator is in serious condition.

Do the Republicans not see the irony in this event?

Actually, the Secret Service is telling people this.

So we have moved on from “this was all staged” to “it’s Trump’s fault he was shot”?
