Board wants Monifa to step down

Do we think Wolff treated McKnight after her medical leave at the Wellness Spa on 11/15/23? Or what about the $800 meal at Azucar?

By law, the student member is prohibited from voting on adverse personnel actions but may participate in meetings about adverse personnel actions if the other board members vote to allow the student member to join.

The spa expenditure was for accounting services. Didn’t you read the disclosure?

Ha! No way they are inviting the student member into this conversation. Too much liability.

That ship sailed. Facts are out.

Sure, if by facts you mean gossip.

Sorry, no. Facts are out.

Can Wolff legally spend campaign funds on things like Wellspring services (with services ranging from aromatherapy to counseling, but not accounting, as Wolff claimed on her report) and restaurant food expenses for what was not a fundraiser?

Restaurant expenses don’t have to tie to a fundraiser. Could have been a meeting where the campaign volunteers met to strategize or celebrate or whatever. For Wellspring, I’m guessing that the person preparing the report inserted the wrong wellspring entity and address as a clerical error and meant to include one of the many wellspring accounting and bookkeeping services you can find after a quick google search of wellspring and accounting.

$800 at Azúcar? What did they order? How many people were there. That’s odd.

Given how little turnover there was in the campaign accounts, that was a lot of money to spend on accounting.

We’ll know for sure when they release the closed meeting report. The student member has been in other discussion about adverse personnel actions but the report said the member didn’t vote.

How did Wolff, as well as the person preparing the report (that Wolff signs off on) miss that Wellspring Restorative Therapy, LLC, on Prosperity Drive in Rockville was mistakenly reported instead of a Wellspring Accounting Service from outside the area?

Wolff probably needs to file a correction. Wellspring Therapy is on Parklawn Drive in Rockville, not Prosperity Drive. I don't know what is on Prosperity Drive, as listed in the address on Wolff's report, because Prosperity Drive is in Silver Spring, not Rockville.

She did it for McKnight to keep it off of McKnight's books.
