Parents - If you want your son to play for the best in the DMV the decision is clear. Short ride to Military Rd.

IAC teams have great competition competing against each other - from top to bottom. WCAC only has competition in the top two or three schools. It’s shouldn’t be this hard to understand. Not to mention historically IAC has been a better lacrosse league than WCAC also. No one thinks of WCAC when they talk about top lacrosse leagues in the country. Sorry, facts.

No one thinks of the weaker teams in either leagues. When you compare the top teams of the two leagues it's very clear the stronger league is the WCAC. The game results are clear among the top teams. Sorry, facts.

One league also refuses to play the very top of the WCAC because they already know they can't compete. sorry, facts

Personal opinions aside the game results are facts. The athletics in the WCAC are stronger across most if not all sports.

SJC is a moment in time - sure when you’re there you really care about lacrosse so you’re happy to have chosen your high school based on the over recruiting you and 59 other kids received from the lacrosse coach. And then its just over and you probably won’t think about that place again and it likely won’t come up again unless you’re in an under armour store and you can mention to whoever you’re with that the founder attended your high school for a year. This is not an insult - your son either wants that or he doesn’t and both are ok.

The coaches of the 2 leagues tried to put together a WCAC vs IAC end-of-year tournament. In 2021 it was a success and SJC won the tournament. In 2022 it was set up again, but SJC refused to play. In 2023, SJC would not commit to play again. It may be true Prep and Landon may refuse to play SJC, but it is also true that SJC will not play in an end-of-year DMV Championship.

BTW-There is usually a big difference in a team from early March to late May. Some teams get better, others decline.

Let's agree that many disagree with Prep v SJC rankings or which league is better.

I think we all agree an end-of-year DMV championship would be a great event!

You clearly live in your own world. You really think you know what SJC alumni think about? "probably won't think about". What a clown.

Stick to game results not your feelings on what you think you know.

Why did they need SJC for the end of the year tournament?

You can’t have a DMV Championship Tournament without St. John’s. The title would be worthless without playing the top team in the DMV.

The finalists from each league would meet in the semi-finals OR the 2 champions would meet. IN either scenario SJC would not commit to playing. Each league had to have its top teams commit to play.

its pretty well known the Mad Lax founder tried to organize a DMV lax championship between the winner of the IAC and WCAC last Spring.

Prep was committed to play, St. Johns declined.

There are rules that prevented SJC from playing and they couldn’t get around.

Total BS by the cadet boosters.

gonzaga played in an end of year HS tournament well after WCAC season had ended.

If the Cadets really wanted to make the game happen with GP at the end of the season last spring, it could have been done.

Save the league rules BS, or end of year final exams blah blah.

Speaks ran.

Preps mad because they can’t keep up.

“We aren’t ready when they season starts”. Blah blah blah.

“We will play you in the summer” Lmao
