What Clark did here is exactly what he tried to do in law school. Not sure if this would be of interest to anyone but it is true.

Hearings resume in July- OP

Short wrap up, mostly paraphrased. By now hopefully everyone knows who the following are. In one of the last Oval Office meetings, Rosen, Donahue, and Engel resorted to using Trump speak on Trump. Trump asked Rosen and Donahue what would happen if he replaced them with Jeff Clark (Environmental attorney). Donahue confirmed that within 72 hours or less, there would be hundreds of resignations from top justices to aides leaving him with no justice department.

Former assistant attorney general Steven Engel was the “turning point” that night when Trump asked him, Steve you wouldn’t leave would you? Engel said I’ve been with you through 4 AGs and 2 acting AGs, but I can’t be part of this. Look no one is gonna read this letter. All anyone is going to think is that you’ve gone through 2 acting AGs in 2 weeks until you found the environmental guy to sign this thing. The story’s not gonna be that the DOJ has found massive corruption that’s going to change the election. It’s gonna be the disaster of Jeff Clark. At that point, WH counsel Pat Cipollone said the letter is a murder suicide pact. Engel told Trump that Clark taking over as AG would be blowing himself up. He’d be leading a graveyard. It would be a grievous error for Trump.

Donahue and Cipollone credit Engel for the turning point and impactful moment. Trump asked Donahue if he planned to fire Clark. Donahue was like what the hell are you talking about, I’m not his boss, you are. Trump said well I’m not going to fire him.

And just like that, Trump called it off. Was this a game for him? Is he on meds for neuro issues? He has no clue what branches of government mean or the authority of the DOJ at all. He thinks all these people are his personal jesters. This man is childlike and manic. Holy efffing nut job.

Has anyone heard any talking points on why all these folks requested pardons? And since none of them had yet been charged with any crimes (though I don’t remember anymore when the gaetz sex trafficking allegations occurred) what possible excuse can they muster?

Consciousness of guilt arising from conspiracy to defraud the US

Please say more. I’m actually fascinated by this specific kind of a**hole who puts his elementary school on his resume as a assistant Attorney General.

At no point did Trump bother to learn about how the government works. That’s not news.

I really don’t mean to be glib, but none of this is news. He thought he had become America’s king for life and he acted accordingly and with the blessing of the GOP for the entire four years of hell. Nothing is fixed. Some things may be fixed, but they had four years to break a lot and state level Republicans have broken a lot more since.
