ECNL Playoffs

Put the west coast teams early in the morning and east coast teams in the evening.

How very dumb is the playoffs overall. West coast teams (I use them because of their distance) must fly to Florida for a week. If in semis, get to go home for a week and a half then fly back to east coast for a 2-day schedule. The costs are outrageous because you'll have about 10-days to book a ticket. Never cheap. Why aren't they doing it all in a week or so? I don't even think college teams fly coast-to-coast within a week or two. jeeze

And the east coast has had to do the same to the west coast many times.

They want to ensure that the players involved are from families with plenty of time and money. These are the desired customers.

a league is different. For this Florida trip, you're pretty much captive the whole time given the travel. Of course it would be nice to have the schedule, but please find a way to be happy.

Seriously, how difficult is it to post a schedule? You think they are this incompetent or is this a ploy by the soccer tourney/local hotel commission to get people to stay overnight on the 30th and stay overnight on the 4th due to uncertainty on early and late game those days?

It's ridiculous. They carry on and on about the draw and all anyone really cares about is the schedule, the schedule the schedule. The location and number of participants has been known for a very long time. The schedule should have come out with the draw...just plug the names into the slots and let's go already.

In ECNL's defense, it's a big event, with alot of politicking for advantage with the schedule. The majority of teams in the country will attend and you have playoffs plus multiple layers of showcases beneath. Still, I agree, you could have scheduled alot of this well in advance. It looks to me like ECNL is way understaffed for preparations of this magnitude.

Actually, I do. It is simply a lack of leadership and customer service. Trying to appease all involved never works, especially coaches. They either get their ass to their game or they don’t.
