Will camp out overnight to get in the building if necessary. |
I will send him on a train, I will send him on a plane, I will send him on a bus, I will send him to Maine if I must!
The child will be back in school to the maximum extent possible ASAP. |
I said u would send my kids to APS hoarding school if they offered it |
I'm not okay with it.... but I feel like we have no other choice. |
There's still a virtual option... |
Totally fine with it. I’m actually pleased because now they can just do normal school with masks on and we can all just accept this is what it is and move on. They wouldn’t have been able to keep them apart anyway. Not for full days if they’re mostly all back and they have specials, recess, lunch, lines moving around the school, extended day, etc. This also indicates to me they are serious about getting them back properly. You’re in or you’re out. Half-assed days are behind us. I hope. |
+1 I'm glad they're being fully transparent about it. Either you're okay with it or you're not, but it's all out in the open and you can make an informed choice about it now. No more complaining one way or the other in the fall. |
I am very happy APS is making parents essentially be okay with no distancing if they choose in-person. I am very worried about the contingency planning they are doing. I guess it's not a given that we will be back 5 FULL (not shifts) days next fall. We cannot accept anything short of 5 FULL Days - Say NO to shift school Mary. More important than ever now. |
Huh? It’s either 5 days in person or 5 days virtual. That’s it. I work for APS and those are the two choices for fall. |
I think that was just someone trying to get a dig in |
Follow along. They said they’re not doing contingency planning. They won’t be able to do distancing so make your choice accordingly. |
I agree that I don’t love it but virtual is a worse option. Kind of feel like this is the pullout method. Will cross our fingers and hope no covid gets past the goalie. |
Then what’s the contingency planning about? |
They sent an update today. Based on the number of people responding they plan to send kids back, distancing will not be possible. No contingency plan. Originally they said they’d have a 3 foot distancing contingency plan. So they’re being transparent and giving people longer to choose their option. |
