I don’t even waste a second on it. When they put lame BS like that for advisory I just tell kids to enjoy the day off.

I would love for you to be my kids' teacher!

That is a troll, genius. Advisory never does anything with CRT. Nor would your advisory teacher tell you or be allowed to tell you to take the day off, nor would the kids listen.

Advisory teachers can let the kids log off advisory early, and they log into first or fifth block at their regular time.

And the first place I saw that fence picture was in my kid's advisory. I don't see the difference between CRT and equity training, but evidently LCPS does.

BUT THEY DO NOT TELL KIDS TO TAKE THE DAY OFF. we aren’t talking about logging out of advisory early. That “teacher” claims they told their students take the day off. No they didn’t, or if they did, the kids wouldn’t listen because advisory teachers telling you to do that means nothing

Perhaps it was on a Monday.

No. There is no advisory at high school on Monday. IT IS A TROLL. One y’all fall for EVERY time.

There is *no advisory on Mondays in high school* which is what the troll claimed to teach. There’s morning meeting in ELEMENTARY on Monday but not in high school. Stop being an idiot over some moronic YouTube clip.

I hope the student gets in massive trouble. This was grossly inappropriate.

How was this inappropriate?

Ignoring race is problematic as well.

There was no right answer to the teacher's question. He was going to jump down the student's throat no matter what he said. He just refused to play this silly game (or at least, he refused to give the teacher the 'win condition' he was seeking).

the teacher was clearly setting up a discussion about how race is culturally determined, not a “gotcha.” You’re majorly projecting if you object to saying “there’s a white woman and a black woman.” The student was being purposefully challenging, and from the tone, sounds like he had a pattern of that.

I always hated those students who challenged teachers. I mean, where does it all end? Independent thinking, responsibility for one's own beliefs and actions, not believing in the superiority of the collective, not supporting what professional educators have long believed. I mean, teachers study this stuff, they get together to compare research, and how dare anyone question them. WE KNOW! I mean, who are all these MBAs, JDs, PhDs who are questioning literally years' and years' of research. They are not EdD's. Peer-reviewed means PEERS people, not people who haven't studied education--how can they understand the statistics, reasoning, and intentions we use? This lack of respect is really disheartening, I don't know where it comes from. And certainly not 'parents'-they haven't been trained in anything. I mean, it's a surprise the state hasn't removed all of these children to be raised by teachers who know better, whose job it is. Cretins. Racists. Probably even Capitalists!

I'm out.

Well, because the student wasn't outing something we can blame on Trump and talk about on MSNBC and CNN non-stop and then have him make appearances so they can tell him what a brave hero he is. Instead, he outed a woke lefty so he is bad and needs to be condemned.

That guy is a huge loser and so is anyone who thinks he’s doing anything important.
