Thanks. I have a lot of experience teaching and also volunteering as a private tutor so I'm very well prepared. It's going great so far. |
It’s going so great you’re hanging out on the public school forum! |
The teacher should first have a discussion with forensic examiners. |
Who would also say race is a social construct and below the first layer of skin there is zero physiological difference between people of different races. Race is a made up thing that controls people’s lives and how they are treated but it isn’t biological. |
Why does the student sound like a 30-year-old man? I'm skeptical of this interaction. |
That is.... so very not true. |
Yes it is. You need to go read. Race is a social construct. Beneath the first layer of the epidermis which has the pigment, we are genetically the same to like 99.5%. |
I’m a teacher and I discard all that CRT trash.
I don’t even waste a second on it. When they put lame BS like that for advisory I just tell kids to enjoy the day off. |
I would love for you to be my kids' teacher! |
189k views so far. I’m guessing it hits local news in a few days. I’m expecting a forced apology from the teacher within a week |
That is a troll, genius. Advisory never does anything with CRT. Nor would your advisory teacher tell you or be allowed to tell you to take the day off, nor would the kids listen. |
I know. Trust me, I would’ve loved to have a teacher like the one I am. |
They can identify race from bones. |
What PP is referring to is the fact that while there are certain probabilistic features associated with different races, there is more genetic variation within races than between them. This means that at the margins it's not scientifically possible to tell where one race ends and another begins, because the categories themselves were culturally and historically determined. |
CRT is twisted. The student is right - all CRT does is make things worse. |
