Why? |
And it wouldn’t have been incorrect. I see all my white teenager students posting on their IG’s (chill, no stalking - it’s part of a coach’s job to monitor social media interactions of players) posting about BLM and pro trans stuff... sure, they’re not being indoctrinated. They’re just regurgitating agendas and ideologies that are aberrations but carry on. The bad guy is the teacher - like always. |
Wow. This thread served as a good reminder as to why I never want to step foot in your county. The racist is through the roof. Yikes! |
Typo - *racism |
Enjoy. I’m sure you’ll do amazing at it. |
Same reason you have piled on the teacher that is featured in this YouTube video. You are offensive and have no business interacting with impressionable kids. |
Fortunately you retired |
That doesn’t make any sense. What does Marxism have to do with anything? |
Race, gender, and other issues are discussed in higher level classes |
Exactly. There was very little context about the lesson, purpose, etc. Lots of postings with very little context. |
Ignoring race is problematic as well. |
This thread is quite literally full of idiots. The contingency of LCPS parents that posts on this board all seem to be of the vein of neo-conservatives who have boiled down anything regarding race at all to “CRT” and use this forum as their own personal sounding board of QAnonish conspiracy theories and delusions of persecution. They say things like “wokeness” in all seriousness and believe they’re targeted and persecuted in some way by “liberalism.” |
There was no right answer to the teacher's question. He was going to jump down the student's throat no matter what he said. He just refused to play this silly game (or at least, he refused to give the teacher the 'win condition' he was seeking). |
the teacher was clearly setting up a discussion about how race is culturally determined, not a “gotcha.” You’re majorly projecting if you object to saying “there’s a white woman and a black woman.” The student was being purposefully challenging, and from the tone, sounds like he had a pattern of that. |
We need to stop trying to judge the teacher OR the student from this clip. Seriously. There is not enough information to know what the purpose of the lesson was, how it fit with the unit or curriculum, dynamic between teacher and student, etc. |
