Nanny is late everyday - what to do?

OP, seriously wondering if you hired the nanny we let go in December, for chronic lateness (and also last minute cancellations). In our case, she was late (between 5-20 minutes) 4/5 days the first week. I addressed at the end of the week, telling her we really needed to start working at X time or our own jobs would be in jeopardy so we really needed her to arrive by Y time...and that if she ever wanted to start coming earlier, she’d get additional OT, etc. She said she understood and then continued to be 5-20 minutes late (and it was a 10 minute drive) and several times asked, same day, to take a vacation day. We finally let her go after two months.
