Sorry but the autopsy of George Floyd “revealed no physical findings that support a diagnosis of traumatic asphyxiation,” and that “potential intoxicants” and preexisting cardiovascular disease “likely contributed to his death.” |
Terrible. And they are not the bad guys, the bad guys are suspended. Let this be a lesson to departments to deal swiftly and honestly with police initiated shootings. If the officers were charged at once and the charges had moved swiftly and fairly to a Grand Jury this would not be happening. A prosecutor now could ask for direct indictment. Are there any brave prosecutors with a sense of justice in Louisville? |

The fact that the police’s actions are perfectly legal is exactly why taxpayers who live in these cities are advocating for police and legal system reform.
This should be illegal. The cops who did this are negligent and should be heading to prison. But they are not because the law is not just and is in dire need of reform. Independent oversight and prosecution is desperately needed. When people say “defund the police” it’s because they are whiplashing against the perversion of Justice in cases like Brianna Taylor and Philando Castile. A new system of police combined with mental health officers needs to be built from the ground up, along with massive legal reform. Certain Americans are currently living under a militarized Big Government force that is, at its core, freedom-hating. |
Police did not do anything wrong here. The politicians did. Get mad at the prosecutors and the judge who signed the warrant. Stop blaming guys who were shot at. |
The police did not announce that they are police. How were they supposed to know it's the police? Don't you think they maybe would have NOT shot if the police yelled - we are the police, we're coming in? If an unknown intruder barges into your house in the middle of the night, why CAN'T you shoot at them? I mean what do you have your gun rights for? To shine them on Sundays? |
And yet when leadership - like the Minneapolis City Council - starts discussing reform, cops and their apologist start making threats. I’d be fine with everyone up and down the line involved with this erroneous search warrant going to jail. It’s gross negligence and a fundamental violation of American liberty. |
They didn’t identify themselves. Apparently they didn’t have to. |
| It's pretty amazing how many people seem to think it is ok for the police to break into someone's house in the middle of the night. It's no surprise that this ended in a gunfight. The surprise is how many people are ok with it. |
And yet the harm came from cops, go figure, while the shooter boyfriend is OK, and the drug-dealin' ex is OK. If you think bailing out drug dealers is a bad idea, why was paying bail even possible? The judge put a bail on him so he or she must have decided he was bail-able. |
Of course. People want to believe this will never happen to them so they pick the victim apart to find something to get at. See, she was this, this and this and she got what was coming. |
| It is a terrible tragedy and if I were her family I would also want justice. It sounds like it was an accidental shooting in self defense but if I was her family I would want charges. |
