Another sad day.
America continues to be broken and soulless.

Why is sad? You wanted justice, you're getting it. It's just not what the mob wanted.

Judicial process is not synonymous with justice.

Did Breonna Taylor get justice?

If this was your child, would you feel this was justice?

To think that she was working extra shifts as an EMT during the pandemic. Sad day indeed.

So you can just be shot in your own home, and only one of your murderers can see any prison time - just 5 years at that. And after they shoot you, they can just leave you on the floor in your own blood to die, even through they’ve pledged to protect your community.

Justice? Really?

And just think that people (mostly black) have been charged and “convicted” and sentenced to years/decades in prison for having marijuana

How do republicans “justifiy” her killing?

fwiw, this is illegal, even in Kentucky

They knocked and identified themselves
Nobody came to the door,
They were legally allowed to enter
Her boyfriend had a gun
He shot the returned fire
These are all facts. Sad? yes, that a person who was turning her life around was with a person who was not a very good person.

Just because you don't like the outcome you have to accept it that based on the evidence her killing was not intentional.

Her family settled a wrongful death claim. They most likely knew this was coming and they settled less than a week ago.

Justice does not exist on Earth, let alone USA.

Ju$tice however, is the core of everything.

The bad actors weren't the individual officers. The grand jury got it right. The bad actors were the prosecutors and detectives who put together the case for the judge to issue the warrant and possibly the judge who issued the warrant based on specious evidence. The apple rots from the inside out. The officers were simply doing their jobs. So while charging them would feel good, it wouldn't get at where the miscarriage of justice was created and the people who truly killed Breonna.

Officers entering the house were shot at. One officer had his femoral artery severed. I cannot understand why they returned fire.

Should they have been there, I don't know. It appears that it was an authorized and approved warrant. But once that is signed off on, if you fire a weapon, you have to expect to get fire returned. It is tragic that she was shot as she was unarmed, however, she was standing with the person who had just fired the shots. Tragic, but the evidence apparently does not rise to the level of murder.

This^

Officers, did not set out to kill anybody. They did not even fire the first shot. If the issue was the warrant, start questioning the people in that chain. Not the guys at the pointy end
