What clubs will disappear as a result of this pandemic?

Celtic has been hurting for a few years. Maybe not this year but soon.

I think the clubs who are asking for commitments and payments NOW, are the ones who are most likely in financial trouble. Some clubs are asking for a deposit and payments will not be made until the kids are actually on the field.

Oh, what about the clubs that can't even give an actual update on if there'll be a refund or when that will occur?

That's an issue if they are not giving you a refund/credit for spring season. You paid for a service that you did not receive. Maybe ask for a donation receipt to use as a tax write-off..

Arlington is asking for downpayments...NOW. At least for one of their DA turn ECNL teams.

we were given 48hrs to decide--that wasn't our complete deciding factor; however, we decided to leave. i don't know how many else did, but there's a pretty good sized group of us that are not okay at all with the current state

The 48 hour rule was set in stone or just a guideline? I was under the impression these turn around times were guidelines but nothing so strict your kid would be dropped from a team. It would be a shame to move your player over a misinterpretation.

Not OP... Lmvsc had the 48hr. I'm not sure if that's also OP but the 'not okay with the current state' sounds like it. There's an entire thread about the townhall we had and plenty of people aren't happy.

I'm not going to say that isn't the case, but plenty of clubs send out notices requesting 48-72 hour response times. One of the reasons is most clubs offer rolling invites, meaning they start with the "A" team and wait until those slots are filled before continuing on to B, C teams etc. This can cause this process to take a while with everyone wanting to know "when am I getting my invite, or why haven't I received one yet" it's a balancing act.

That being said, having gone through the process many times with both my children, I can tell you that if you're not able to make up your mind in that amount of time - that should tell you something, it's not like people didn't see invites coming. If you're joining a new club I guess it can be a different story.

This year is a little unique, and with all other factors as well it wasn't appreciated on our end.
