| How difficult to get into Wake this year ED & full pay? |
I bet they will jump on that. They were turning to wait list this year. |
Merit aid is different than FA. |
| Excellent school, excellent reputation. Beautiful campus, professors and administration easily reachable and resonsive. |
| Responsive teachers and administration? If so then just hoping my child gets in. Are you a parent of a student? |
Yea right, mediocre. Last year men’s tennis, soccer and golf were ranked in top 5. Baseball preseason was 15 (but had lousy start before Covid ended it) and I believe a female golfer won National championship. So while it may not be LSU, outside of big three sports and for a school of 5,000 students it is far from mediocre. |
| Work forest. Not an easy school. Slackers beware. |
| That is exactly what my child wants. Hoping to get in. |
FYI Stanford was also turning to the wait list this year. |
| Wake is a better environment for my child then Stanford. Both great schools. |
Many were. Stanford doesn’t offer an ED option do not the same situation. |
They also have an excellent field hockey team. |
Looked at Wake. Like a number of other top 50 schools, they do not give merit with very few exceptions. Check their site to see the specific scholarships. Admissions openly stated, “If you can afford it, apply ED as that is where we take most of our class from.” If you need FA, do not apply ED. And the FA they do give is primarily to first generation students and/or URMs. We did not want a huge state University so we chased merit at colleges where our kid fit into the top 25% of students. |
| PP again - Yes, most families are full pay at Wake. There is a lot of wealth there. |
Founded as a Baptist school but no longer strictly affiliated. |
