Stats for enrolled students is a much better way of determining selectivity. (Davidson may still have an edge in that regard.) Many schools induce students who won't be accepted to apply. |
I don't know ANYONE who would consider Davidson a better school than Wake Forest. |
I think Davidson is a bit better. Sorry. |
| Good enough. |
| Wake us not a party school (to the extent that any college is not a party school). There is drinking but far fewer drugs than typical college or high school. Agree that WS is blah. Agree that Greek social scene is more dominant (which I think is negative) but there are so many positives, including the the relationships students develop with their professors. Unlike other schools. Sports are huge positive as well. Very few kids do not like or do not get good education. If you non Math/Engineering, want to go south and cannot get into Duke or Vanderbilt, it is next best choice —where money is not an issue. Better than Davidson, Emory or Tulane. |
| How tough to get in next year with early decision and full pay? Student 3.9 but not a lot of APs. All honors in a very rigorous private. Parent is a legacy. Thoughts? |
| Best small college sports programs in the country. |
This is what I want to know, minus your specifics. Several posters have voiced that WF is a school that will struggle post Covid. Does that help out non-4.0 students coming from rigorous DC privates who would be full pay? |
| Legacy a shoe in. Are you serious |
I do. I think most people who live in North Carolina do. (The ones I've spoken to anyway). |
| Where did you see that Wake would struggle after the virus? |
| Wake has amazing sports |
I think "amazing" might be an overstatement. More like mediocre. |
| You can't speak Weak without Wake. |
