Ellen DeGeneres — Not so nice

I don’t understand how she not only has her show but now has ANOTHER show. Who props her career up? She’s Teflon — you never see negative stories about her because they’re all catch & killed. She’s a creepy boomer who tries to act like a kid 1/3rd her age and she’s painfully unfunny.

DP. All I can figure is that she must make plenty of money for NBC or whatever network runs her talk show and her game show. And both her shows are the types of programming that is far cheaper to produce (even with her salary) than a scripted drama or comedy; that's why we're seeing many more prime time game shows, reality shows etc. in recent years--despite the fact they're all pretty disposable and crummy, they're cheaper and much easier and faster to churn out than scripted programs.

Not an Ellen fan at all, though I don't know either way if she personally is mean. I just don't find her stuff at all watchable though I'll check an interview on YouTube if she's talking to someone I like. But the rise of her programs including a second one are all due to the fact people do watch this lousy, easy, cheesy stuff. Shudder.

I actually used to really like her, but I think she seems much more bitter and difficult now than she did 10 years ago. It's probably time for her to try something else and leave the talk show behind, maybe that's behind the game show? Don't know.

You could sub Ellen out for Kelly Clarkston, do the same boring money giveaway and boring interviews, and the ratings wouldn’t miss a beat.

I’ve watched her show only a handful of times, and I really couldn’t stomach it. Last one I watched she had Sofia Vergara doing some prank against someone in a store or security or something. It just seemed so mean spirited to both Vergara and the guys being pranked. I never watched again after that.
