2009 vs 2019: Do you look better or worse?

Anonymous
I had my 2nd baby this year and I am fat and exhausted. I look like a garbage can. None of my clothes fit so I am wearing gross cheap crap I order online just to put something on my body. I can't even wear my old shoes anymore. My hair is permanently in a greasy ponytail and I have bramd new wrinkles all over my face.

In 2009 I was 23 and adorable.

Really hoping 10 years from now is an improvement. I know I'll be older but God maybe I'll have had just a single full night's sleep by then?

Oh honey. Please don’t be so mean to yourself. You are caring for a tiny baby and that takes everything you have.

25 to 35

I looked naturally much better, thinner, happier and confident then.. but NOW I know *how* to look better. Much much much better with makeup and hair. So good with putting together outfits and buying better clothes. I was pretty good at buying good items then (I still have a few pairs of amazing shoes from that time, wore one pair today with major compliments). But my clothing success rate was like 20%. Now, about 85-90% of what I buy is nice looking, lasting, flattering, goes with a large amount of outfits, will keep for a long time.

Hugs, PP. It doesn't feel like it now, but you will sleep again! You are still young and I am sure still adorable!

40 to 50. Same size. I look pretty much the same. I think my skin is a little more dull so I've started getting facials and spending more time on my skin, etc.

It will be! And if you were in shape and worked out before you will be shocked at how fast your muscles "remember" how to train and you will recover your body. I did not step foot in a gym or do any intentional exercise for 7 hrs while I had three kids and was overwhelmed. I have been back to the gym a yr now and look better than ever. You will know when the time is right to get back in the swing of things. Until then, keeping your diet in check can do a lot of work for you- but after you are done breastfeeding. Until then love on your babies and get a shower when you can. Hugs

36 to 46 - I'm about seven pounds heavier (boo but small potatoes in the scheme of things), better haircut, better clothes. I notice a difference in my skin - I guess it's time to start looking into potions and facials and whatnot. I think I probably look about as good as I did a decade ago? I looked very very young all through my 30s and I def feel as if I am not passing for 25 anymore. But I think I am ok with that?
