2009 vs 2019: Do you look better or worse?

About the same, a few more lines, a handful of gray, a few more lbs.

17 vs. 27. I peaked in high school and was really hot...40 lbs and a lack of self care later, not so much. Working on it.

Now I am 8 weeks postpartum with my second kid, 20 lbs heavier, none of my clothes with buttons fit, I look like a person who never sleeps more than 3 hours, and I'm starting to get gray hairs. I miss being young and cute.

Funny. You are very young, and in 10 years will chuckle at your post. But, there is truth to it. Children age you rapidly. LOL! I aged more in the last 6 years with my child than the last 20 years of adult life which included death, war, and a host of other things.

Anonymous wrote:42 vs 52. Hmmmm. I have certainly aged. I have more gray hair. More wrinkles. I’m still very fit. I weigh exactly the same today as I did when I graduated from high school - 115 pounds. My kids are grown. A lot of the stressors I had in my 20s/30s/early40s is gone. I’m sure that helps.

I’m more secure. I’m ok with getting older. I have no desire to look any younger than I am. Stuff that used to bother me just doesn’t anymore. I’m kinda that gray haired old hippy who is all about love and light. But will certainly tell you to fuk off when necessary. I’m good with that.

I was drinking/swallowing water just as I was reading the above! Looking for a paper towel for my monitor and keyboard...

32 to 42. Definitely looked better then. But I’m happier now!

25 vs 35. Already had kids then, which ruined my body, so look the same.

45 to 55 -- have gone through 2 bouts of cancer, chemo & menopause, so definitely worse. But I'm alive and looking forward to seeing my youngest graduate from high school in June. My priorities are definitely different now. Enjoy your good looks while you have them.

42 vs 52. Better. Lost 40 pounds, and generally taking care of myself a bit more. Plus, I’m a lot more secure in who I am, and that confidence goes a long way.

25 vs 35. Just pulled up the FB memory and I look the same?

32 v 42. I look better in 2019. At 32 I just had my second baby and, during those years, I was heavier, tired, overwhelmed, hormonal.

43 v 53. I feel better, and I think I look better. Face has a bit of age on it, but I'm in the best physical condition of my life.

I give credit to my genetics, hormone replacement therapy, and good old fashioned boring willpower.

25 vs. 35. I was more youthful looking, and 20 pounds lighter in 2009, but I was also pretty clueless on how to properly apply makeup and dress myself, and didn't have much of a skincare routine. Also, I was just starting my career so I didn't have much money to spend in terms of quality clothing, skincare/makeup/etc. -- a situation that has improved in the past ten years.

49. I look great for my age. Still same size 2/4. But- I looked better at 39, 29, but not 19! I was a late bloomer and looked my best mid 20s-mid 30s. I was hot as shit. I found a pic at 32 when I was living in Spain....omg was I gorgeous . No wonder I was hit on constantly. My olive skin has held up well and I’ve always worked out. But, no denying, nobody looks better at almost 50 then 40.

26 - 36
200lbs - 129lbs

So yes, I definitely look better today.

22 vs 32. Like another PP, I looked better in some ways back then and worse in some ways. I was lighter and much “cuter” but I didn’t have great style and I didn’t know how to do my hair and makeup in a flattering manner like I do now. I totally peaked at around 27 when I was nearly 40 lbs lighter than I am now, ugh. That was the hottest I’ve ever felt in my life.
