Um, yes, I do.

DING DING DING

+1!

We'll let you keep your red rider BB gun, though. I'm feeling nostalgic because of the Christmas Story movie.

As for the rest of them, turn them ALL in.

Lol the "ding ding ding" was a reference to someone who said no one is after your guns. Thank you and the first poster for showing your intentions.

LOL. Keep grasping at straws, and thanks for setting our Country back by helping Trump get elected.

Someone DID bring a gun to the Old Town farmers market, next to City Hall - and City of Alexandria couldn't do anything about it, because of state law.

And I doubt very much that voters in Wisconsin will vote for DJT because the Virginia General Assembly gives City of Alexandria the right to ban guns on city property.

It scared adults more than children. The ones who should be rational.

Why TF would anyone bring a gun to a fcking farmers market? If you’re going to pull stupid stunts like that then you get irrational reactions.

Northam needs to make his stand on this next year. Because if he doesn’t, it threatens to basically negate the power of state governance as a operating model. You can’t have a bunch of elected county yahoos deciding what laws get enforced in their inbred little fiefdoms.

If that means Northan has to call up the National Guard to enforce gun laws, so be it. And any cop who doesn’t enforce the new laws needs to be fired. And the state needs to cut off all funding for any county that declares itself a gun sanctuary. Lastly, I really do think some examples are going to have to be made, quickly, and dramatically, when the new laws come into effect, especially for banning assault weapons. There needs to be in overwhelming show of force directed at gun nutters who aren’t complying, and they need to face the full fury of police and National Guard. Once the rest of them see that clinging to their guns might literally get them pulled from their cold dead hands like their bumper sticker says, those cowards will fall in line pretty quick. But examples will have to be made at first. I hope Northam is up to the task. He weathered the storm about the yearbook pretty well, so that’s encouraging, since he’s got the character for a fight. But I worry that he’ll relent on this the first time some trailer trash or rednecks with assault weapons get massacred by a police SWAT team.

Cool same should be done to Sanctuary cities too. National Guard should sweep through them going door to door to make sure everyone is a citizen.

You are a lunatic, please stay in Maryland. Unlike you we do not want a civil war or any kind of war for that matter.

DP

A bunch of militia wanna-be's and other assorted trash getting shot up by the authorities is NOT a civil war. Stop being so dramatic.

Jesus I always held liberals to a higher standard . I guess not. But keep it up, you are just confirming your hate towards those who choose to own guns.

1. If we get universal background checks in all the places not participating in this gimmick that would be a big gain

2. Commonwealth can cut funding to these places. Most of them rely heavily on Commonwealth funding, esp for schools.

Wait what? You'd deprive Virginia school students of right to Virginia education state funding (derived mainly from Virginia citizen taxes) as a means to defray our constitutional rights to bear arms? Teach our kids to reason, not to be totalitarian which is not accepted in the USA.

Constitution of United States of America 1789 (rev. 1992) Article 5

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

If the proposed Va legislation violated the 2nd amendment y'all would win a court case and wouldn't need "sanctuary counties".

And of course there is no inherent right to state eduation funding. The state can set a variety of formulas.

Or we could leave school funding alone and cut your road funding. Lots of options. None of which involve sending in the National Guard.

You can judge your fellow citizens reactions if you wish (odd for people claiming to dislike others judging them) - but cities and counties should have the right to ban guns on public property if they choose. If you feel afraid without your gun, you are free to attend a farmers market in your own county.

Assorted trash? Does that count just white gun owners? Or all you calling the many black gun owners trash too? What about latin or Asian gun owners? Women? I guess Im trash, my daughter is trash, my mom was trash. One of my best friends Tu left Vietnam on a fu*king raft when he was 5. He came here and fought for his adopted Country and the rights he was not afforded. I will be sure to tell this man who has THREE Bronze Stars and THREE Defense Meritorious Service Medals that your ilk thinks he's trash too.

I think the issue was he was open carrying so it was visible. I'm at the Falls Church farmers market every week and so are many other CCW holders, we just aren't flashing it in people face or looking for attention.

Things in VA are getting a bit wierd, 76 of VA's counties have pronounced that they will not enforce Governor Northam's new gun bill, SB16. In response one VA legislator has called for the VA national guard to enforce any new gun legislation, and others have called for legislation to lay off law enforcement personel who fail to enforce the law.

Numerically of course, several counties have the bulk of the population, but it does indicate that perhaps the support for various gun reform measures is not as popular as polls might suggest.

I really hope VA doesn't become a flashpoint for people looking for a fight.

This might be the dumbest statement on this thread, and that's a heavy lift. Congratulations, I guess.

The counties around DC supply most of the tax revenue that gets used to educate the rest of the state. If they aren't willing to give up their assault weapons, then we shouldn't be paying to educate their kids.

Not enforcing a state law statewide sets a dangerous precedent. It shows people that not complying with the rule of law is a viable option, depending on where they are. That's a existential threat to the ultimate authority of government. If you tell people they have option of not following the law, then they will do as they please. Then you have anachy.

What other sanctuary lunacy will be next? Not paying taxes? Disregarding environmental laws? Pedophilia? Domestic absuse? Where does it end? The Governor MUST crack down on these extremists. Threatening to cut off funding means nothing to these hillbillies. People need to go to prison. Let them worry about finding sanctuary in the showers with Bubba behind them.
