It's time for bicycles to have tags and registration fees, and pay the equivalent of fuel taxes.

No you wouldn’t. Who actually gets fined for parking in the bike lane? It’s safer from fines than parking at the curb.

I ommitted to mention "if we seriously enforced against parking in the bike lane" In my scenario, all the folks who complain about being hit by hit and run bikers would have an incentive to support such enforcement.

In Hawaii there are 200% more pedestrians hit by bicycles swerving to avoid cars trying to park in the bike lanes than the are pedestrians hit by cars alone!!!!! Bike lanes are DANGEROUS and should be removed!!!!

Also in NYC AKA Manhattan roughy the same amount of Pedestrians have been killed by bikers as cars.

In NYC so far this year (2019):

Drivers have killed 104 pedestrians
Drivers have killed 27 bicyclists
Bicyclists have killed 2 pedestrians

Frankly, that is seriously alarming. We always hear the pedal-pushers telling us that no one is ever seriously injured by a cyclist. How many cyclist-pedestrians crashes are happening that aren't killing people? Obviously a lot more than I realized.

What is your plan to deal with cars? They've killed 131 people so far this year in NYC. I realize we have to do something about the bicyclists, who've killed 2, but let's tackle the cause of the 131 deaths first.

No, you don't. You hear that it's very rare. Because it is.

Drivers killing pedestrians, on the other hand, is not rare. Drivers killing bicyclists is also not rare.

In Greater DC (IE including NoVa and suburban Md) two pedestrians have been killed by people on bikes in the last (at least) 8 years.

in 2018 alone there were 92 pedestrians killed in the greater DC region.
