Take all the $ from fines on motorists who park in bike lanes, put it in a fund for people hit by hit and run bike riders.   You would have way more $ coming in than going out. [/quote]

I ommitted to mention "if we seriously enforced against parking in the bike lane"  In my scenario, all the folks who complain about being hit by hit and run bikers would have an incentive to support such enforcement. ;) [/quote]

In Hawaii there are 200% more pedestrians hit by bicycles swerving to avoid cars trying to park in the bike lanes than the are pedestrians hit by cars alone!!!!! [b]Bike lanes are DANGEROUS and should be removed!!!!
