Lol. This whole thread is ridiculous to me. OP needs to learn about property rights. She does not have the right to exclusive street parking, even if she and her cousin do own 3 cars between them.

I remember when I was looking for our last home and I checked the google street view for a home we liked. It had a pest control vehicle in the driveway and though that's common to utiiize the service it turned me off.

I think your only option is to park your cars out there.

This is affecting property values! There needs to be a law! Wonder Beckys unite!

I have the same problem. I’m going to the county code enforcement because it’s a commercial vehicle. I can’t reason with the guy. He has painted bugs all over his truck. He has space in his own driveway and parks in front of my house. I put out cones and he moves them. I have to park my car there or put the trash out. What a low life. I have a beautiful home and lawn and this guy must be embarrassed by his job. It seems like a war I don’t want but I have worked for 20 years on my home and he just moved in. Pesticide on the brain.

It’s an eyesore. It’s a gigantic ad for pest control that I have to see right outside my baby’s nursery every day.

UGH.

Are you for real you sound like a big ass baby because you don’t wanna have to look out and see a van that says pest control??
are you for real ??? are you really really for real ??

What’s really bothering OP is her belief that people believe her house has pests, rodents and other vermin and that her house is perpetually being sprayed or having traps changed.

“My baby’s nursery” is making me LOL for some reason

Our neighborhood doesn’t require permits, and there are no limits on parking.

One of our neighbors (I can’t figure out who) has been parking their van with a big CAPITOL PEST on its side, right smack in front of our house for the whole week! Like, leaving for work, coming back, and intentionally parking in front of our house even though there’s plenty of other spots on our street.

I am seriously annoyed, even though I feel a bit ridiculous being so peeved about this. One, it’s taking the spot right in front of our house, and two, it looks to all the world that we have a serious pest problem...

What would you do? I don’t want to be passive aggressive about this, but jeebus.

Ask him to stop being a pest and park elsewhere.

Honestly…..
Not trying to be snarky here OP, but I am tired of hearing people complain about others parking in front of their houses!! 😡

I could understand if another vehicle was to block your driveway / that would be totally a good reason to be miffed.
However we ALL pay taxes & our tax dollars are funding our neighborhood streets so fundamentally we ALL have the right to park our cars on a public street.

As long as there are no signs present banning parking in front of certain houses > then it all is fair game on where one chooses to park.

Of course when parking on a public street - like I previously mentioned before, it is never acceptable to block in (even partly!) another residence’s personal driveway nor should one leave their vehicle parked in the same street 72 hrs. or more.

But a street is public, meaning the space is for everyone.

Btw, I live in a SFH + my neighbor’s guests/work trucks park in front of my home often.
I would never complain about it because I would never want to create acrimony between myself and those who live close-by to me.

Getting along always requires a little compromise here and there and is 1000% required in order to live in peace.

*parked in the same SPACE, not street.

+1

No one has the right to exclusive street parking.

I sympathize.

Guy must have no brain cells if he parks it in front of the same house every day too.
You can leave a note on the windshield explaining that you are having work done st your house and those work trucks need to park there so could he please park somewhere else.

If he keeps it up have the police ticket him.

Ticket him for what baby genius exactly what violation can he be ticketed for please to explain.

Huh? What are you trying to say?

Here's what makes me so mad about stuff like this:

This person who owns the pest control van doesn't want to park it in front of their house, probably because they don't want to look at it, but they'll park it elsewhere and think it's ok.

I know it's a public road, but geeze, park in front of your own damn house.
