| Their online school prints millions and millions. Boatloads of cash. |
Yep. Someone's being fleeced. Just like the NRA and the Build the Wall fund. |

I saw somewhere recently, maybe on the linked page, that the average graduate of LU earns about $26k five years after graduation. The Lynchburg area is a pretty cheap place to live. A group of graduates set up this web page that details about 80 incidents that suggest Jerry Jr. should be replaced permanently. I feel bad commenting that my teenager made better web sites while still in high school. I found this annoying to navigate but their hearts are in the right place. Don't send your kid to LU to study Computer Science.

DP. The academic reputation of Liberty is questionable at best. This has nothing to do with an applicant’s faith or personal values. |
I wouldn't send my kid to LU to study any subject, let alone CS (and DS does want to study CS). And I say this as a Christian. |
How can you isolate the online vs the real brick and mortar university? I'm pretty sure literally 90+ if not 95% of the revenue is from the online portion of the school. |
To be fair, the reputation of a good 50% of the higher ed colleges in the US -- both public and private -- are questionable at best preying on unqualified and unsophisticated (young) people. |
But none of those other schools have a high profile leader who is buddies with POTUS and who puts himself out there like he's some great moral leader, only to be shown that he's a big fat hypocrite. And deVos is complicit to allow those for profit sham universities to continue and get federal funding. And let's not forget Trump U was part of the sham universities. |
I doubt the 50% figure, but there's a reason a lot of hiring managers also pass on DeVry, Phoenix, etc. If a school has a low graduation rate and high default rate, it's a huge red flag. |

"Exclusive: Falwell says ‘Fatal Attraction’ threat led to depression" 8-23-2020 9:32 p.m. https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/washington-secrets/exclusive-falwell-says-fatal-attraction-threat-led-to-depression
Jerry Jr. throws his wife under the bus. Apparently the trouble with the pool boy was his wife had an affair that "did not involve" him. He's desperate to get his position back and I think his wife is generously taking the fall for him. After all she's gotten used to having and assistant and two private jets. The web page by former Liberty students the other days mentions Jerry liked to regale co workers with stories of their sex life and talked about how he met her when he was 18 and she was 13. Odd the pool boy bought a gay guesthouse with their investment if he's focused on older women. |
*1000. The wife as jezebel. Doesn’t fit with the gay hostel, or hosting him at their home and going on long trail walks. Lost weight because of depression or for his young lover? He’s gay. |
| Agreed, I don't believe the wife was the one sexing the pool boy AT ALL |
| OK - sidebar - but my child's new teacher is a graduate of LU. This scares the beejesus out of me! I hope she's competent, at a bare minimum. |
They existed under Obama too, but little was done then either. Too much money to be made off gullible young people and federally backed student loans. Wish Biden hadn't backed the 2005 bankruptcy bill that made it almost impossible to discharge student loans in bankruptcy. |
| I am really torn on whether I should care or comment on conservative hypocrites. They build their fortunes on the backs of people who believe them. If those folk don’t care or think it’s a political witch-hunt, maybe I can just save my outrage. Just like the Bannon/wall thing. If the people who are paying for these crooks don’t care, maybe we should let them be. |
