Wowie. It will be hard for him to sweep this under the rug...or back in the closet.

Funny you mentioned that, I was going to ask if the muscular trainer was his lover. |

“We’re not a school; we’re a real estate hedge fund,” said a senior university official with inside knowledge of Liberty’s finances. “We’re not educating; we’re buying real estate every year and taking students’ money to do it.”
“Everybody is scared for their life. Everybody walks around in fear,” said a current university employee who agreed to speak for this article only after purchasing a burner phone, fearing that Falwell was monitoring their communications. The fear is not limited to Liberty’s campus. Several people who lack any tie to Liberty but live in the school’s hometown of Lynchburg, Virginia, refused to go on the record for this story, fearing Falwell would take revenge upon them and their families. “Fear is probably his most powerful weapon,” a former senior university official said.” “At Liberty, Falwell is “very, very vocal” about his “sex life,” in the words of one Liberty official—a characterization multiple current and former university officials and employees interviewed for this story support. In a car ride about a decade ago with a senior university official who has since left Liberty, “all he wanted to talk about was how he would nail his wife, how she couldn’t handle [his penis size], and stuff of that sort,” this former official recalled. Falwell did not respond to questions about this incident. More than simply talking with employees about his wife in a sexual manner, on at least one occasion, Falwell shared a photo of his wife wearing what appeared to be a French maid costume, according to a longtime Liberty employee with firsthand knowledge of the image and the fallout that followed. Falwell intended to send the image to his and Becki’s personal trainer, Ben Crosswhite, as a “thank you” for helping his wife achieve her fitness goals, the employee said. In the course of texting, Falwell accidentally sent the message to several other people, necessitating a cleanup.” Huge piece in Politico Magazine this week by a Liberty alum with a dozen+ sources. https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2019/09/09/jerry-falwell-liberty-university-loans-227914 |

Thanks 08:21. Very interesting piece. Birds of a feather flock together, basically.
My question is: why do religious people continue to support Falwell and Trump? Do they forgive their greed and lust because of the longer-term practical goal of banning abortion? Or do they somehow imagine that these leaders increase the relevance of Christianity? |

(AP) — Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr. said Tuesday that he is asking the FBI to investigate what he called a “criminal” smear campaign orchestrated against him by several disgruntled former board members and employees.

| This will be an own goal. |
I can’t understand how it’s a fed ark crime for an alumnus of Liberty to write a scathing article. If it’s untrue, sue him and sue Politico. Discovery may be a problem if any of the assertions are true. I suppose Jerry feels he owns the FBI as he owns Lynchburg. |
+1 Although I’m more interested in the law breaking alluded to above with the fact that they’re not a university so much as they’re a hedge fund. That cannot be legal. |
| Many of these posts are deeply homophobic. |
You know who else is deeply homophobic? Jerry Falwell, Jr. |
No, they are just pointing out the obvious hypocrisy about all the people who are OPENLY homophobic |
| Cant believe I took 4 classes at that school. |

No it really doesn’t. Of course none of his behavior or his response to it is Christian either. |
