You should have heard by now. If it did not come in the mail today you should call the school tomorrow to find out.
Have you been getting other mail?

Yes, we were waitlisted at Maret (sounds like a lot of people are in the same boat) and accepted at WES. If there's nothing in the mail today, I'll call Beauvoir tomorrow. This can't be good...

Not sure what your first choice is, but WES is a fabulous solid school. Excellent academics without a lot of fluff. As for Maret...they do seem to be waitlist happy. Good luck.

Relax it is probably ok. Check out there website and send an email to someone. People check email all the time so you may be able to get an answer tonight. Did you apply for Pre K or K????

Actually you probably got accepted. It's easier for a big envelope to take longer to deliver in DC than a thin envelope.

Ahhh, that's the magic question. As of yet, we have yet to hear of a single one.

I'm sorry that so many of you are dealing with all these waitlists, etc.!

Is it really okay to ask where your children went to nursery school? For anyone who is will to share this info, whether you're hearing a lot of good news or bad news this week?

I'm asking because frankly I'm not sure where to enroll my daughter and I'm wondering if it really does make a big difference. Some of the "feeder" nurseries are so expensive that I'm not sure if it's really viable for us. I would rather save the money for tuition down the road!

Thank you and good luck to all of you.

My DD is currently at Mount Olivet Preschool in Arlington- Not a fancy or expensive, just a regular preschool. We LOVE it there as her teachers are nurturing, kind and warm and the other kids and families are wonderful.

We applied to nursery at St. Patrick's (our first choice school hands down!!) for the fall and were accepted...

Actually, we are very happy about WES so we feel very fortunate to have that as an option. As for Beauvoir, we were applying for K. Nothing in the mail again today - I'll call or email tomorrow. Thanks!

I won't name our preschool to protect the innocent (we love the school), but after getting waitlist letters for four schools and comparing our experience to those of friends with equally-but-no-more-wonderful children who attended Aidan, NCRC, etc.,, I am seriously questioning our decision not to try to move our child to one of the high-profile preschools. In our case, the issue wasn't money; it was convenience/schedule and the desire for stability.

In a few years, of course, I may look back and think that we did the right thing, but right now I'm not so sure!
