My husband doesn't not know his license plate number

who the hell cares?

I only know mine because I have to write it on the sign in sheet at the pool.

If I had to produce this information with any frequency I would know it. However, it very rarely comes up so the 1-2x per year I need it I just look at the plate.

He says there is no point in memorizing something he can look up. He has had this plate for many many years.

This is not normal at all.

OMG, he's obviously cheating. Get a lawyer and divorce ASAP

Two high IQ spouses here. Neither of us knows ours by heart. I have known some over the years, mostly due to needing to fill out parking paperwork and mnemonic devices. I had one that was VGT 19XX and I used to think of it as 'very good time in 19XX' haha

I could not even name one number or letter on mine and I know all kinds of useless info. I am 42 and don’t recall ever being asked for it over the course of several cars in various states.

Whenever I get new plates, I take a picture of them and keep it in my photo favorites on my phone. No need to memorize something that you hardly ever use.

By the title of this thread, does OP's DH know his license plate number or not? I can't tell by the horrible grammar.

Why is this in the relationship discussion forum? OP, just come out and say that you hate your DH. No need to make up stupid shit that doesn't matter.

I only put that because people were saying only stupid people do this. It's not a brag just a statement of fact.

I wonder if PP is the same one posting about her husband saying machinations wrong.

Seems like two threads where the OP drops something she thinks makes her husband look dumb but does not actually do that and then never shows up again.

We've got 3 cars and we interchange them regularly so neither of us have "my car". And no way do I have 3 plates committed to memory. It just doesn't come up in any circumstance where I don't have the car in question with me and can look at the license plate.

What happens when the store or workplace announces that license plate XXX has been hit or left their lights on?

We have three cars we interchange too. I know them all. I had mine since 1997 -- the plates.
