Are you new here? In every post about heterosexual marriage, women are saints and men are evil incarnate. There is an intense disdain for men - you will see the comments about 'real men', 'man-up' and suck it up. His wife could be an abusive, angry, cold, violent person and in some posters mind that is still better than being a man. That the man has always brought it on himself and that husbands have a duty to shut up and take whatever their wives dish out, no matter how it impacts them. A lot of tolerated misandry on this board. There are posts dismissing men, calling men names, being very sexist and those get a lot of supportive responses.

I didn't describe her that way. I'm not OP. Haven't you ever encountered a woman that no matter how nice you are and no matter how hard you try, you just can't win them over?
