Best of luck with that, fellas.
“House Republicans say they'll run in 2020 on repealing Obamacare.” https://www.bloomberg.com/amp/news/articles/2019-09-13/house-gop-to-run-in-2020-on-obamacare-repeal-debt-reduction?__twitter_impression=true |
omg - i feel like them running on repealing obamacare and us running on getting rid of all private insurance = a great big wtf-fest i hope we win, but seriously guys - wtf |
The dems are not running on "getting rid of all private insurance" |
I'm the PP - and Warren and Sanders certainly are, and some of the others (see: Harris) toy with it. I am a Democrat and I wish they weren't. I've bemoaned over and over that they aren't promising a public option. |
+1 -super liberal dem |
+2 -European socialdemocrat from a country with both public and private health insurance, and who fears Warren/ Sanders/ Harris proposals would create such a giant mess that healthcare in this country would go backwards, not forward. |
Another Republican retirement: Paul Cook (CA-08) is retiring to run for San Bernardino County supervisor.

And Carolyn Bourdeaux, who almost beat 4-term incumbent Woodall, just announced she’s running again for the now-open seat. https://demcastusa.com/2019/09/18/our-movement-to-win-georgias-7th-restore-accountability/amp/?__twitter_impression=true |
No, Warren isn’t. Check again. Sanders I have no idea, but sanders isn’t a democrat, either. |
Again, maybe look into Warren’s actual plan. |
Issa is definitely primarying indicted Republican incumbent Duncan Hunter, according to Kathleen Ronayne at the AP. |
Thornberry (R) TX-13 announces he is not running for re-election. |
Another Republican member of Texas’s congressional delegation is hanging it up. First elected in 1994. Ranking member on the Armed Services Committee.

This is the most conservative district in the country, so not flippable. What’s worrisome is that Thornberry wasn’t slavishly devoted to Trump (spoke out against moving funds from defense to the wall, for example) and his replacement certainly will be. |
Chris Collins (R-NY) to change his insider trading plea to guilty. He should probably resign immediately. |
