It’s early but with all the 2020 talk I thought it might be time to start a thread encompassing all the 2020 House races. There have been a few developments this week.
The member in charge of taking the House back for the Republicans is seemingly not having a great go of it. “GOP lawmakers and strategists are voicing deep concerns about National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) Chairman Rep. Tom Emmer (Minn.) and his team's 2020 strategy. Rep. Rob Woodall (R), who won GA-7 by only 419 votes last time. Rep. Paul Mitchell (R, MI-10), a safe Republican seat Rep. Pete Olson (R, TX-22) from his seat in the swingy Houston suburbs. Another day, another House Republican calls it quits. Rep. Martha Roby announced that she would not seek a sixth term in Alabama’s 2nd District. She and Susan Brooks who is also retiring account for 2 of the only 13 GOP women in the House.
