Just like 14:18 is bearing down hard on us with his hate of Islam. |
My BIL is an atheist and he’s a dick about it IRL. He tends to bring up religion at parties. At my birthday party he insisted we go around the room and say whether or not we were religious. My Catholic friend lied and said “no” so she wouldn’t have to deal with him. |
The difference between Islam and Catholicism in regard to your question: Islam sanctions stoning and beating followers. Catholics don’t sanction pedophilia. Huge diff. |
I don’t hate Islam. I think it’s hypocritical to talk about “why people dislike religion” but censor people who dislike women being killed or beaten and a religion allowing it and nobody discussing that fact. |
I believe those posts were censored because they contained extremely offensive photos. |
Yes, but being called a hater of Islam because you point out their religion allows the stoning and murder of women for “sexual immorality” is ridiculous. The title of the thread and topic isn’t hateful, is it? |
Re-read the bolder and explain to me how that isn’t sanctioning. I’m not talking about what’s in the scriptures I’m talking about what’s condoned by the church and it’s heirar. |
Accidentally hit send while editing... Re-read the bolded and explain to me how that isn’t sanctioning. How in the heck can you say priests and bishops and archbishops and cardinals shrugging their shoulders and turning a blind eye to pedophilia isn't sanctioning? You think I'm saying the Catholic church is disgusting because of a few bad apples who stray from what's written in the Bible but I’m not talking about what’s in the scriptures I’m talking about what’s condoned by the church and it’s hierarchy. |
Actions speak louder than verses when it comes to religion. |
+1 it's secretly sanctioning - even worse, IMO, than openly sanctioning, because at some level you know it's wrong, but let it happen anyhow because you value the perpetrators more than the victims. |
