I appreciate your mild vengeance fantasy but I just don't think you're right. I think she'll be humiliated in the media for letting her mommy buy her a clerkship and then will thrive for the rest of her life with the benefits of her connections. |
I guess she didn't have to apply at all since mommy got her the job |
Surprised no one has brought this up. She said she wouldn’t be applying to SCOTUS because she has an ROTC obligation to pay back. So why isn’t she headed to the Army? Like she publicly said she was? Another deferral? Is it standard to defer multiple years after grad school? And if it is, why did she lie? Or did she get another “special” favor? Or did she manage to bone spur her way out? People here are talking about her next job being in Big Law with huge bonuses? Doesn’t she owe the Army time first? I agree it’s weird she was ROTC at all. If she was really serious about the military, why would she not go military academy? Her parents could pull the strings to get her in. Otherwise, she could still be Commissioned out of law school without ROTC. It’s not like her parents (mom a best selling author) couldn’t afford her education. So strange. |
FAKE NEWS ALERT!! The real story is that Brett kavanaugh actually helps and supports the legal careers of female attorneys. The Brett kavanaugh who had every liberal inside the beltway lying about him and smearing him and threatening legislators. The Brett kavanaugh who fought back against the ignoramuses that make up the leftist multi-media lynch mob. THAT Brett kavanaugh is actually a champion of and for female attorneys. Nice try with your fake news thread but it just isn’t so. |
Even RBG has commended him on supporting female attorneys. |
Nothing fake about these posts. Kavanaugh helps female attorneys by hiring the kids of female attorneys who defend him against rape charges. Sometimes lawyers refer to that as quid pro quo. Amy Chua also told Yale law students to make sure to wear makeup, have long hair and a dress rather than a pantsuit if they wanted to work for him. Sounds like a real friend to women. |
Recently? My comment isn't "odd," I know what I'm talking about, thank you. DH was an ROTC JAG and he was told he couldn't to take a clerkship because he needed to fulfill his commitment to the Army. Putting this aside, tiger daughter is getting special treatment. I kind of feel sorry for her, because she's never had any free choice in her life and she doesn't even know it. |
Sorry you don’t like dresses. You be you. The supreme kavanaugh clearly helps women and has for a long time. Got any more fake rape accusations you can throw at him? He appears to have kicked them ALL straight back into your teeth. |
| ^^^^^Gooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaallllllllll!!!! |
If that’s true and the tiger cub is getting special treatment and backing out of her obligations that is not correct. I had a college friend who did ROTC and remember he said there were no deferrals but that was quite some time ago. |
lol well, you actually convinced me. there are likely VERY FEW qualified female grads who were willing to clerk for Kav. |
Huh. I just googled it and it seems like active duty and reserves are the two options. Perhaps Kavanaugh is giving her special time off so she can fulfill her requirements. But that sucks if that same special treatment isn’t applied to all people finishing ROTC. |
I agree. I distrust this particular Justice, I don't approve of Tiger Mother's use of influence, but the level of anti-Brett, anti-Amy hysterics on this thread is not justified. Move on. |
Move on from the announcement that was made yesterday? Yeah probably time for another Benghazi hearing or something. Hey tell me again about the electoral college victory. No I think this is the perfect moment to talk about how the swamp works and how it continually advantages those who swim in it and disadvantages those who don't. |
That's your opinion, and an inaccurate one at that. Few people are dying to work for Kavanaugh, I for one, would worry about having my young daughter work for him. If the tiger girl got her position through her mother's defense of Kavanaugh against rape charges, that's a relevant story, and particularly if she received special permission not to do her ROTC obligation right away. |
