Tiger Mom got her daughter a Sup Ct clerkship Only suckers think any swamps are getting drained https://twitter.com/ElieNYC/status/1138100488606535680
Can the editor of Above the Law (left wing blog) name just one female candidate to Kavanaugh's clerkship who is more qualified than Sophia? He can't.
that's absurd. there are likely hundreds if not thousands of young female law grads just as qualified as she is. This is payola, clear as day. Sophia will be ostracized by elite legal institutions and will have to scrape the bottom of the barrel after she peters out at her post-clerkship firm job.
Fortunately she will have at least a $250,000 signing bonus from a firm that hires her post-clerkship.
Actually, she'll be going into the Army when she's done, to pay back for her education. Apparently her well-to-do parents were too cheap to pay for her college so Sophia was Army ROTC. I wonder if a JAG has ever been a SC clerk? Sophia responded to the ATL editor on twitter last July. https://twitter.com/SChuaRubenfeld/status/1017805423750066177
Hi! The daughter here. Just to clarify one thing: I was college ROTC, went to law school on Army Ed Delay, and am joining the Active Duty JAG Corps right after my circuit clerkship (wherever that will be!). So I won't be applying for SCOTUS anytime soon bc I will be in the Army.

Plenty of JAGs have been Supreme Court clerks. There was a time when the military was highly regarded and men served in both capacities. Your comment was quite odd.
Recently? My comment isn't "odd," I know what I'm talking about, thank you. DH was an ROTC JAG and he was told he couldn't to take a clerkship because he needed to fulfill his commitment to the Army. Putting this aside, tiger daughter is getting special treatment. I kind of feel sorry for her, because she's never had any free choice in her life and she doesn't even know it.
If that’s true and the tiger cub is getting special treatment and backing out of her obligations that is not correct. I had a college friend who did ROTC and remember he said there were no deferrals but that was quite some time ago.
