Yes, said cat, Benjamin, was in the video.

Aimed at 5 year olds?

Aimed at making millions of dollars and continuing her “it” girl reign, well into her 40’s.

We get it! You’re impressed she’s a millionaire.

Ok. I'm glad she switched genres then.

It was supposed to be funny. You know, for people with a sense of humor. I laughed quite a few times throughout the video. But you probably prefer the deep, witty, and articulate musings of Nicki Minaj, amirite?

DP...Taylor isn’t funny. She’s cheesy. There’s a difference. The video just wasn’t funny. Not liking that childish video doesn’t mean you don’t have a sense of humor. You just have different humor and that’s fine.

I’m not a fan of Nicki Minaj. They both are on the same level to me, cheesy characters.

I thought the opening scene was funny. Especially the cat part.

What’s the switch? This single will be from at least her 3rd straight up pop album.

I took that posters response as sarcasm. Was it not meant to be that?

NO.

Give me Zac Brown Band, Thomas Rhett, Carrie Underwood from a couple of albums ago. Eric Church, Brad Paisley, George Strait.

Or some 70's and 80's rock.

Taylor tried to be country. She isn't.... like a lot of other so called female country artists right now. They're pop.

I find Taylor's lyrics immature, and I didn't like her before I even knew her name. Her voice doesn't appeal to me. I changed the station when her songs came on. It wouldn't have mattered who she is.

Then why did you click on this post? You're clearly not a Taylor Swift fan. Don't you have better things to do? I'm also 29 and Taylor's music has gotten me through a lot of hard times in my life. She cares about her fans and repeatedly does really nice things for them to show that. Seriously, stop being a hater!

1st listen : meh. Don’t love it
2nd listen: it’s fine. Don’t hate it
3rd listen: unwittingly singing along to chorus
4th listen: turn up volume in car
5th listen: dancing in kitchen making dinner
6th listen: executing choreography from last time I listened in kitchen
7th listen: start thinking “I could totally nail this song at Rockit Bar after 3 beers.”
8th listen: “should I wear red lipstick? Like reeeeally red? Could I make that work?”
9th listen: “who is Taylor Swift dating now?”
10th listen: purchased on iTunes

And scene

This is perfect, and exactly how I experience Taylor Swift songs too.

Same.

Same here. You captured it perfectly.

I like the artists you mentioned above AND I really like Taylor Swift, too.

She tried to be country? Do you have a clue as to her start? She started as a country star. A HUGE one. And when she went pop, the country audience had a hard time letting her go. Like she was on the ACMs or one of those shows and basically had to say “for real, goodbye”.

And also, why are you on this thread?
