I was in Woodbridge a few weeks ago and stopped into Target. It was so much nicer than my Bailey's Crossroads I might just find reasons to go down there every few months. |
Inside the store? I am there every week and have never seen that. Now, there is the one guy who sits on the curb and waves, who has had a broken arm for like 9 months now, but he's not bothering anyone. |
Omg.
The struggle to find the toothpaste is real. I back tracked like 3 times. |
Dislike the new look. No popcorn. A lot out of stock, or not on the shelves. Cold looking. Industrial looking. It use to be a nice place to walk around, I would usually buy something. Like browsing. Now it's get-in and get-out, and go only when have to. |
Exactly this. I don’t have time for this at Target. |
NP here who knows the Reston Target well. That man doesn’t bother me, but the drug-addicted woman who is hanging around the parking lot asking for money all the time “because her car broke down” does bother me. DS spotted her there again last weekend. I can’t believe this is still going on. |
Still better than Walmart. |
I thought that a Target was crap because of the current renovations. Never occurred to me that it would still be a scavenger hunt to find shampoo even when it’s complete. |
I like TJ Maxx and go there to "treasure hunt" but can only go if I have some extra time. Target was much more dependable. |
I’m the PP looking for kids sunglasses. I love TJ Maxx. I do work but I go from time to time if I have an hour free. It’s a totally different thing than Target. I can’t believe they think they can go in a TJ direction. People go to Target with a list. Yes, they then may impulse shop but if I can’t get my “core” items it’s a waste of time. My last two trips, for hosiery and kids sunglasses, were duds. |
I like Walmart better than Target. I think they have a better selection. I think the prices are better. Target tends to have a lot of trendy clothing. Walmart tends to have more basics and I think the quality's better. It's just not worth the trek to Germantown most of the time. I would love Rockville to have a Walmart, but I think they blocked it when it tried to come in. It took forever to get a Target. Rockville has a lot of good points, but sometimes they get snooty about things in a way that reminds me of the DCUM "Is this trashy?" posters. |
That one has always been awful. Everything is out of stock. |
Actually, they have been very helpful during the Reno. Yesterday one walked me to the new section and looked for the product with me. For the most part, employees at the Rockville target seem more engaged to me than other targets around. |
No in the parking lot. Some guy asked for change for gas. Didn’t see the woman tho. Happened to me twice - never went back. Too many other choices. |
THIS!! I used to drop hundreds of dollars at Target on a regular basis. Now I can hardly remember the last time I spent any time (or money) there at all. It used to be my guilty pleasure. I wonder how many other former customers feel the same way. I so miss the old Target. |
