We were at the one in Rockville, which is mid renovation and we’re pretty discouraged. The lighting in the makeup section was really odd and bright—my daughter started crying it have her a headache (it was giving me one too) and we had to leave the store because we both felt dizzy from the weird lighting. Oh, Target, why fix what was not broken? |
Oh wow! I totally missed the part where op said she spoke with the store manager! How is that possible? Please bold the part where op said she spoke to the manager, I can’t seem to find it! |
I am typically a regular Target shopper but hadn't been in a while. Went to Rockville about a month ago. Terrible..every thing was in the process of being moved..but I gave them a break because they were obviously in some kind of transition. Went back this weekend..still bad. I need sun screen. Used to be there was a big end display this time of year. No. I had to ask someone where to find it. I used to spend so much $$ there. Here it is April and I still have the $300 gift card I bought on 10% off day in December. I guess I won't bother next year. |
NP. This was meant as a joke, to include PP who mentioned that she'd have to get a new hairstyle, before complaining. There's a meme/I need to speak to your manager/ and the woman always has a Kate Gosselin spiky early 2000s hairstyle. |
I’ve had great success with ordering on the target app. I always have a hard time finding my kids sizes at the actual store but it’s so easy on the app.
The one thing I’ve found is that they can’t always deliver as fast as they claim they will. But if you factor that in it’s great. |
Haha lol! I see. There’s a very annoying poster on dcum that responds to posts about medical/child development/school related concern posts with “what did the pediatrician/therapist/teacher say when you asked them about this?”. It’s very condescending and annoying. I assumed that was what this pp was doing. |
This all day long. I cannot believe how disrespectful people are, it's gross. |
Agree. The 2 targets I go to, Gaithersburg and Rockville, are clean and stocked. The only area that seems to be a mess is the shoe area. But that’s on the customers rather than the store employees |
I stopped going when I tried buying bandaids and they were out of every size and brand. How can a Target not have any in stock? I still shop frequently from Target but it’s all online and delivered. |
You know Walmart is often out of stock of certain brands and items that I need too. I don’t get it. |
Have you been to Rockville in the last few weeks? It is terrible now. A mess with no stock. |
All snark aside, I've taken the surveys Target sends via email asking about my most recent visit. I've provided feedback about the mess and disorganization and gotten no reply. |
I think the target near me went down hill as soon as they included groceries. There is less space for the other stuff which means they have less selection and always are out if stock. Half the time I am there I am standing in the aisle, looking at the empty shelf and pull out my phone to order from amazon. Not to mention the groceries increase the odds of gross shopping carts. I think target is running into the problem sears had - it cannot decide what it wants to be. It was an upscale Walmart. By adding cheap groceries, it is trying to be both upscale and downscale and it does not work. |
I’ve been at the Mosaic location twice in the last few weeks and it’s a disaster. I was looking for kids sunglasses today. This seems like something they would stock this time of year. A few random pairs on a few different shelves mixed in a total mess but it’s other accessories, hosiery area completely picked over with little stock, really strange and seems mismanaged. They are missing out on sales by not having merchandise on the floor. |
i shop at the rockville target sometimes. sometimes it is fine, but i would say 30 percent of the time it is a disaster. like no carts around etc.
unf, this is happening so much with stores. imho, it is a circular situation with brick/mortar store and online store. they let the brick/mortar store deteriorate, it is so unpleasant, and then they wonder why no one is shopping there...and more business gets pushed online...and then they complain not enough food traffice in store etc. |
